Karakterisasi 18 Klon Tanaman Talas (Coloscasia esculenta L.) Hasil Eksplorasi Di Kabupaten Banyumas

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengetahui keragaman morfologi tanaman talas (Coloscasia esculenta) di Kabupaten Banyumas. 2) Mengetahui karakterisasi klon-klon tanaman talas (Coloscasia esculenta) di Kabupaten Banyumas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2021 dengan menggunakan metode survey berdasarkan buku panduan deskriptor talas UPOV (International Union For the Protecction of New Varieties Of Plants) dengan teknik pengambilan wilayah secara purposive sampling dan teknik pengambilan sampel secara accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kedelapan belas klon tanaman talas yang ada di Kabupaten Banyumas memiliki keragaman morfologi pada karakter kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Keragaman pada karakter kualitatif berupa tipe pertumbuhan, arah helai daun, bentuk ujung daun, intensitas antosianin, intensitas antosianin tangkai bagian atas, intensitas antosianin tangkai bagian bawah, intensitas antosianin pada seludang daun, bentuk umbi, warna daging umbi, dan letak akar pada umbi. Sedangkan karakter kuantitatif berupa tinggi tanaman, panjang daun, lebar daun, rasio panjang/lebar daun, kedalaman sinus, panjang tangkai, panjang seludang daun, dan berat umbi. 2) Hasil karakterisasi 18 klon terdapat satu lon tanaman yang hubungan kekerabatannya paling jauh diantara klon-klon yang lain yaitu K18.

The research aims to: 1) Determind the morphological diversity of taro plants (Coloscasia esculenta) in Banyumas Regency. 2) Know the characterization of clones of taro plants (Coloscasia esculenta) in Banyumas Regency. This study was conducted in November 2021 using a survey method based on the UPOV (International Union For the Protecction of New Varieties Of Plants) descriptor manual with purposive sampling techniques and accidental sampling techniques. The results showed that: 1) Eighteen clones of taro plants in Banyumas Regency have morphological diversity in qualitative and quantitative character. Diversity in qualitative character in the form of growth type, direction of leaf strands, leaf tip shape, intensity of anthocyanins, intensity of anthocyanins of the upper stalks, intensity of anthocyanins of the lower stalks, intensity of anthocyanins on the leaf strings, the shape of bulbs, the color of the bulb meat, and the location of the roots on the bulbs. While the quantitative character in the form of plant height, leaf length, leaf width, leaf length / width ratio, sinus depth, stalk length, leaf length, and bulb weight. 2) The result of characterization of 18 clones there is one plant clone whose kinship relationship is the most distant among the other clones, K18.
