PATOGENESITAS JAMUR ENTOMOPATOGEN Cordyceps sp. TERHADAP URET, HAMA TANAMAN KENTANG

Uret merupakan hama kentang yang penting di Kawasan Dieng. Hama tersebut terinfeksi oleh jamur entomopatogen Cordyceps sp. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji patogenesitas jamur tersebut terhadap uret pada skala laboratorium dan mendeskripsikan gejala yang ditimbulkan jamur. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto pada bulan April sampai September 2012. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan lima perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut yaitu spora jamur asal media jagung konsentrasi 9,3 x 105 spora/ml, spora jamur asal media jagung 1,2 x 103 spora/ml, spora jamur asal media polar 8,1 x 105 spora/ml, spora jamur asal media polar 1,1 x 103 spora/ml, dan kontrol. Uret diinfeksi dengan masing-masing spora jamur dan selanjutnya diinkubasikan pada lemari pendingin pada suhu 16-17 0C. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jamur Cordyceps sp. mampu menyebabkan kematian uret. Kematian serangga mulai terjadi pada hari ke-3, setelah itu infeksi berjalan sampai hari ke-18. Setelah hari ke-18 tingkat kematian uret konstan. Konsentrasi spora berpengaruh nyata terhadap tingkat kematian uret. Kematian uret tertinggi pada perlakuan yang diberi suspensi spora jamur konsentrasi 9,3 x 105 asal media jagung yaitu 67,5 persen.

White grubs is an important pest of potato in Dieng area. The pest infected by entomopathogenic fungus, Cordyceps sp. The purpose of this research was to examine pathogenecity of fungus against white grubs in the laboratory scale and to describe disease of entomopathogenic fungus on white grubs. The experiment was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Jendral Sudirman University, Purwokerto on April to September 2012. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and four replication. The treatments were spores from corn media concentration 9,3 x 105 spores/ ml, spores from corn media 1,2 x 103 spores/ml, spores from wheat bran media (polard)8,1 x 105 spores/ml, spores from wheat bran media (polard)1,1 x 103 spores/ml and control. White grubs were infected for each treatment and then incubated in incubator room with 16-17 0C. The result showed that Cordyceps sp. were able of killing the insects. The mortality of insects occured at third day and increased until 18th day, and then constant for the next days. The number of spores affected mortality significantly. The maximum mortality occurred infected white grubs with spores 9,3 x 105 from corn media and there were 67.5 %.
