Penelitian yang berjudul “Analisis Pengaruh Praktik Fishing Industry Terhadap Modern Slavery Di Thailand Tahun 2012-2014” ini dianalisis berdasarkan konsep human security dan modern slavery. Fokus penelitian ini adalah menganalisis bagaimana fishing industry sebagai salah satu industri terpenting di Thailand mempengaruhi terjadinya modern slavery dalam kurun waktu 2012-2014, ketika sedang terjadi gejolak politik dalam tubuh pemerintahan Thailand. Ketidakstabilan pemerintahan Thailand saat itu pada akhirnya berpengaruh juga terhadap situasi fishing industry, dimana dalam hal ini fishing industry di Thailand memicu terjadinya modern slavery melalui praktik kerja paksa. Kerja paksa tersebut di identifikasi melalui 3 (tiga) ciri yaitu ketika terjadi apropriasi pekerja, lalu pekerja kehilangan kebebasan, serta adanya perilaku kekerasan yang seluruh cirinya ada dalam fishing industry di Thailand yang mana ditandai dengan upah pekerja yang rendah, adanya pekerja anak terjadinya over-work, lalu tidak terpenuhinya hak sosial pekerja, serta terancamnya keselamatan pekerja karena tingkat keamaan tempat kerja yang tidak sesuai dengan standar kelayakan

The research entitled "Analysis of the Influence of Fishing Industry Practices on Modern Slavery in Thailand in 2012-2014" was analyzed based on the concept of human security and modern slavery. The focus of this study is to analyze how the fishing industry as one of the most important industries in Thailand affects the occurrence of modern slavery in the period 2012-2014, when there was political instability in the Thai government. The instability of the Thai government at that time ultimately affected the situation of the fishing industry, where in this case the fishing industry in Thailand triggered modern slavery through forced labor practices. The forced labor is identified through 3 (three) characteristics, namely when there is an appropriation of workers, then workers lose their freedom, as well as violent behavior which all of the characteristics exist in the fishing industry in Thailand, which is characterized by low worker wages, the presence of child labor, the occurrence of over-employment. work, then the social rights of workers are not fulfilled, and the safety of workers is threatened because the level of security in the workplace is not in accordance with appropriate standards
