EKSISTENSI IKAN KARANG TARGET KARNIVORA PADA KONDISI TERUMBU KARANG DI PERAIRAN TAPANULI TENGAH

Penelitian ini berjudul “Eksistensi Ikan Karang Target Karnivora Pada Kondisi Terumbu Karang Di Perairan Tapanuli Tengah”. Keberadaan ikan karang target pada suatu perairan dapat dipengaruhi oleh kondisi terumbu karang. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui jumlah jenis dan kelimpahan ikan, persentase tutupan karang dan hubungan antara ikan karang target karnivora dengan kondisi terumbu karang di perairan Tapanuli Tengah. Metode yang digunakan adalah Underwater Visual Census (UVC) dan Underwater Photo Transect (UPT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Jenis dan jumlah ikan target karnivora yang terdapat di perairan Tapanuli Tengah terdapat 4 family, 19 jenis dan jumlah 500 individu. Jumlah individu terbanyak yaitu dari spesies Lutjanus biguttatus. Individu terendah yaitu Anyperodon leucogrammicus, Cephalopholis sexmaculata, Diploprion bifasciatum, Epinephelus fuscoguttatus, Plectropomus maculatus dan Lethrinus obsoletus. This research is entitled "Existence of Carnivorous Targeted Coral Fish With Coral Reef Conditions in Central Tapanuli Waters". The existence of target reef fish in Tapanuli waters can be influenced by the condition of coral reefs. The purpose of the study was to determine the number of species and abundance of fish, the percentage of coral reef and the relationship between carnivorous target fish with the condition of coral reefs in the waters of Central Tapanuli. The methods that were used to analyze this object are Underwater Visual Census (UVC) and Underwater Photo Transect (UPT). Moreover, the results showed that the type and number of carnivorous target fish found in the waters of Central Tapanuli have 4 families, 19 species and a total of 500 individuals. The largest number of individuals was from the Lutjanus biguttatus species. Keywords: Target Coral Fish, Coral reefs, Tapanuli Tengah
