Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan status sosial ekonomi dengan tingkat kebahagiaan dan implikasinya pada aktivitas mahasiswa di lingkungan kampus. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas Jenderal Soedirman,Kabupaten Banyumas, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif jenis survei. Sasaran penelitian ini ialah mahasiswa aktif Jurusan S1 Peternakan  dan Kedokteran Umum angkatan 2017. Jumlah populasinya yakni sebanyak 350 yang didasarkan pada jumlah kedua kelompok populasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 111 mahasiswa yang diambil dengan teknik stratified random sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner. Alat analisis utama yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu Distribusi Frekuensi dan korelasi Rank Sperman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel status sosial ekonomi dan tingkat kebahagiaan mempunyai hubungan yang sangat lemah dan tidak signifikan. Hasil perhitungan korelasi Rank Sperman menunjukan keeratan hubungan antara variabel status sosial ekonomi dengan tingkat kebahagiaan sebesar 0,173**. Artinya, keeratan hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut sangat rendah dengan arah hubungan positif (hubungan searah). Keeratan hubungan variabel tingkat kebahagiaan dengan aktivitas mahasiswa di lingkungan kampus sebesar 0,639**. Artinya, keeratan hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut tinggi dengan arah hubungan positif (hubungan searah). Berdasar hasil penelitian tersebut maka hipotesis penelitian H1 ditolak sedangkan H2 diterima.

This study aims to determine the relationship between socioeconomic status and the level of happiness and its implications for student activities in the campus environment. This research was conducted at Jenderal Sudirman University, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. The research was conducted using a survey type quantitative method. The target of this research is active students of the 2017 S1 Department of Animal Husbandry and General Medicine. The total population is 350 which is based on the number of the two population groups. The sample in this study amounted to 111 students taken by stratified random sampling technique. Data collection was done by questionnaire. The main analytical tools used in this research are Frequency Distribution and Sperman Rank correlation. The results showed that the variables of socioeconomic status and level of happiness had a very weak and insignificant relationship. The results of the calculation of the Sperman Rank correlation show that there is a close relationship between the socio-economic status variables and the level of happiness of 0.173**. That is, the closeness of the relationship between the two variables is very low with a positive relationship direction (unidirectional relationship). The close relationship between the variables of the level of happiness and student activities in the campus environment is 0.639**. That is, the close relationship between the two variables is high with a positive relationship direction (unidirectional relationship). Based on the results of the study, the research hypothesis H1 was rejected while H2 was accepted.
