Pada dinas arsip dan perpustakaan daerah kabupaten banyumas ditemukan bahwa kaulifikasi pendidikan pegawai sudah cukup baik hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari mayoritas pegawai berpendidikan terakhir strata satu, kemudian lingkungan kerja yang didukung oleh sarana prasarana yang tersedia sudah cukup memadai untuk dapat melakukan pelayanan publik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut menarik untuk dikaji secara mendalam mengenai pengaruh variabel kompetensi pegawai dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kualitas pelayanan perpustakaan. Penelitian ini dengan sasaran pengunjung perpustakaan. Teknik pengambilan sample menggunakan teknik insidental. Menghitung jumlah sample dengan rumus slovin berjumlah 100 responden. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pengujian hipotesis asosiatif. Pengumpulan data dengan kuisioner, didukung observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan korelasi product moment, regresi linear sederhana, dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian secara kuantitatif dalam penelitian ini: (1) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan kompetensi pegawai terhadap kualitas pelayanan dengan uji hipotesis linear sederhana bahwa nilai persamaan regresi linear sederhana Y=10,340+0,462X1, (2) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan lingkungan kerja terhadap kualitas pelayanan dengan uji hipotesis regresi linear sederhana bahwa nilai persamaan regresi sederhana Y=13,950+0,370X2, (3) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan kompetensi pegawai dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kualitas pelayanan dengan uji regresi linear berganda bahwa nilai persamaan regresinya Y=5,746+0,423X1+0,260X2. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini bahwa semua variabel independen memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel dependen yaitu Kualitas Pelayanan Perpustakaan Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Daerah Kabupaten Banyumas.

At the regional archives and library office in Banyumas Regency, it was found that the educational qualifications for employees were quite good, it could be seen from the majority of the employees having the last bachelor's degree in education, then the work environment supported by the available infrastructure was sufficient to be able to perform public services. Based on this, it is interesting to study in depth the influence of employee competence variables and work environment on the quality of library services. This research is targeted at library visitors. The sampling technique used incidental technique. Counting the number of samples with the slovin formula totaling 100 respondents. The research method used is quantitative method with associative hypothesis testing. Collecting data with questionnaires, supported by observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is product moment correlation, simple linear regression, and multiple linear regression. The results of quantitative research in this study: (1) there is a positive and significant effect of employee competence on service quality by testing the simple linear hypothesis that the value of the simple linear regression equation Y=10.340+0.462X1, (2) there is a positive and significant influence on the environment work quality on service quality by testing the simple linear regression hypothesis that the value of the simple regression equation Y=13.950+0.370X2, (3) there is a positive and significant effect of employee competence and work environment on service quality with multiple linear regression test that the value of the regression equation is Y= 5.746+0.423X1+0.260X2. The conclusion of this study is that all independent variables have a positive and significant influence on the dependent variable, namely the Quality of Service Library of the Archives and Regional Library of Banyumas Regency.
