Penelitian “Body Condition Score (BCS), Persentase Lemak Tubuh, dan Konsumsi Pakan Kambing Sapera Jantan pada Pemberian Pakan Berbasis Indigofera sp.“ telah dilaksanakan pada pada 5 Mei 2021 sampai dengan 11 Juli 2021 di kandang kambing Experimental Farm, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian pakan berbasis Indigofera sp. terhadap Body Condition Score (BCS), persentase lemak tubuh, dan konsumsi pakan kambing Sapera jantan. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah kambing Sapera jantan berjumlah 18 ekor berumur 8-12 bulan dan bobot badan 18-25 kg yang diperoleh dari kelompok ternak Himpunan Peternak Domba Kambing Indonesia (HPDKI) Kabupaten Banyumas. Materi pakan yang digunakan terdiri dari rumput lapang, konsentrat komersial, indigofera segar, dan Indigofera kering (hay). Metode penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pada 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diteliti yaitu P0 50% Rumput Lapang + 50% Konsentrat Komersial, P1 50% Rumput Lapang + 20% Konsentrat Komersial + 30% Indigofera Segar, dan P2 50% Rumput Lapang + 20% Konsentrat Komersial + 30% Indigofera Kering. Varibel yang diteliti adalah Body Condition Score (BCS), persentase lemak tubuh, dan konsumsi pakan berdasarkan bahan kering dan bobot badan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian pakan berbasis Indigofera sp. tidak berpengaruh nyata (non-significant) terhadap Body Condition Score (BCS), persentase lemak tubuh, dan konsumsi pakan berdasarkan bahan kering dan bobot badan kambing Sapera jantan. Hasil rataan Body Condition Score (BCS) P0 sebesar 2.67 ± 0.52; P1 sebesar 2.67 ± 0.52; dan P2 sebesar 2.83 ± 0.61 dengan rentang BCS 1-5 pada masing-masing ternak. Hasil rataan persentase lemak tubuh P0 sebesar 12.25 ± 2.25 persen; P1 sebesar 12.25 ± 2.25 persen; dan P2 sebesar 12.98 ± 2.64 persen. Hasil rataan konsumsi bahan kering P0 sebesar 796.24 ± 27.97 g/ekor/hari; P1 sebesar 940.98 ± 146.06 g/ekor/hari; dan P2 sebesar 992.46 ± 127.31 g/ekor/hari. Hasil rataan konsumsi bahan kering berdasarkan bobot badan P0 sebesar 31.65 ± 3.94 g/kg BB; P1 sebesar 39.06 ± 1.19 g/kg BB; dan P2 sebesar 40.04 ± 0.60 g/kg BB. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pakan berbasis Indigofera sp dapat digunakan untuk menggantikan konsentrat komersial sampai dengan 60 persen dan tidak menurunkan produktivitas ternak serta memiliki kecenderungan untuk meningkatkan Body Condition Score (BCS), persentase lemak tubuh, dan konsumsi pakan.

The study "Body Condition Score (BCS), Body Fat Percentage, and Feed Consumption of Male Sapera Goats on Indigofera sp. Based Feeding" was carried out from May 5, 2021 to July 11, 2021 at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Jenderal Sudirman University, Purwokerto. The aim of the study was to examine the effect of feeding based on Indigofera sp. on Body Condition Score (BCS), body fat percentage, and feed consumption of male Sapera goats. The research material used was 18 male Sapera goats aged 8-12 months and body weight of 18-25 kg obtained from the farmer group of the Indonesian Sheep Breeders Association of Banyumas Regency. The feed material used consisted of field grass, commercial concentrate, fresh indigofera, and dried indigofera (hay). The research method was carried out experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design with 3 treatments and 6 replicates. The treatments studied were 50% Field Grass + 50% Commercial Concentrate (P0), 50% Field Grass + 20% Commercial Concentrate + 30% Fresh Indigofera (P1), and 50% Field Grass + 20% Commercial Concentrate + 30 % Dried Indigofera (P2). The variables studied were Body Condition Score (BCS), body fat percentage, and dry matter intake. The results showed that feeding based on Indigofera sp. had no significant (P>0.05) effect on Body Condition Score (BCS), body fat percentage, and dry matter consumption of male Sapera goats. The average result of Body Condition Score (BCS) of P0, P1, and P2 were 2.67 ± 0.52; 2.67 ± 0.52; and 2.83 ± 0.61 with a BCS range of 1-5 for each animal. The results of the average body fat percentage of P0, P1, and P2 were 12.25 ± 2.25; 12.25 ± 2.25; and 12.98 ± 2.64, respectively. The average dry matter intake (g/head/day) of P0, P1, and P2 were 796.24 ± 27.97; 940.98 ± 146.06; and 992.46 ± 127.31, respectively. The average dry matter consumption per Kg body weight (g/kg BW) of P0, P1, and P2 were 31.65 ± 3.94; 39.06 ± 1.19; and 40.04 ± 0.60. It could be concluded that feeding based on Indigofera sp. can be used to replace concentrate up to 60 percent and does not reduce livestock productivity and has a tendency to increase Body Condition Score (BCS), body fat percentage, and feed consumption.
