Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi empiris dengan data sekunder pada pemerintah daerah kabupaten dan kota di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, dengan judul ”Pengaruh Kinerja Keuangan Pemerintah Daerah terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Daerah di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta” Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja keuangan daerah kabupaten dan kota di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dan mengetahui pengaruh kinerja keuangan daerah terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah laporan APBD dan realisasi pemerintah daerah kabupaten dan kota di Propinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta serta laporan PDRB. Sampel dari penelitian yaitu seluruh Laporan APBD kabupaten dan kota di Propinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta beserta realisasi anggarannya tahun 2006-2010, dan PDRD tahun 2005-2010. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa kondisi kinerja keuangan daerah kabupaten dan kota di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta periode 2006-2010 belum mandiri dan belum efisien, tetapi sudah efektif. Selain itu berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi berganda menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kemandirian kinerja keuangan daerah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah, (2) Efektivitas kinerja keuangan daerah tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah, (3) Efisiensi kinerja keuangan daerah tidak berpengaruh terhadap signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah, (4) Kemandirian kinerja keuangan daerah merupakan variabel paling berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah.

This research is an empirical study with secondary data on local government districts and city in the Province of Yogyakarta Special Region, entitled "Effect of Local Government Financial Performance of Regional Economic Growth in the Province of Yogyakarta Special Region" This study aims to determine the financial performance of the district and the city in the Province of Yogyakarta Special Region and determine the effect of the financial performance of the region's economic growth. The population in this study is a report of local government budgets and the realization of the districts and city in the Province of Yogyakarta Special Region and the GRDP report. Samples of the entire research report on the district budget and the city of Yogyakarta Special Province along with the realization of the budget years 2006-2010, and 2005-2010 GRDP years. Based on the results of research and data analysis can be concluded that the condition of the financial performance of the districts and city in the province of Yogyakarta Special Region 2006-2010 period has not yet independent and efficient, but it was effective. In addition, based on the results of multiple regression analysis showed that: (1) The independence of the financial performance of significant effect on regional economic growth, (2) The effectiveness of the financial performance of no significant impact on regional economic growth, (3) The efficiency of the financial performance did not significantly affect the regional economic growth, (4) the independence of the region's financial performance is the most influential variable on regional economic growth.
