Penentuan Pasangan Kompatibel Lax Bentuk Operator dan Matriks dari Persamaan Sawada-Kotera.

Persamaan differensial merupakan persamaan yang memuat turunan-turunan dari sembarang fungsi. Persamaan differensial parsial berdasarkan kelinierannya dibagi menjadi dua jenis, yaitu PDP linier dan PDP non-linier. Terdapat berbagai macam metode yang dapat digunakan untuk mencari solusi masalah nilai awal dari suatu PDP non-linier, salah satunya yaitu dengan metode IST. Namun, metode IST membutuhkan Lax pair sebagai alat untuk mentransformasikan PDP non-linier menjadi PDB linier. Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana membentuk Lax pair dari persamaan Sawada-Kotera baik dalam bentuk operator Lax maupun matriks Lax. Untuk mendapatkan operator Lax, peneliti menggunakan konsep uji coba kandidat operator Lax valid L dan M dengan bobot berturut-turut 3 dan 5 yang diuji kompatibilitasnya dengan uji kompatibilitas operator Lax. Berdasarkan kandidat operator Lax tersebut diperoleh operator Lax pair serta matriks Lax pair yang kompatibel dengan persamaan Sawada-Kotera.

A differential equation is an equation which contains unknown functions. Partial differential equation based on its linearity divided by two types, those are linear PDE and non-linear PDE. There are many methods that could be used to solve a non-linear PDE, one of which is the IST method. Yet, the IST method needs a Lax pair as a tool to transform non-linear PDE into linear ODE. This research studied how to construct a Lax pair for the Sawada-Kotera equation either in operator form or matrix form. To have a valid operator Lax pair, the researcher used the trial concept of the operator Lax’s candidates L and M with weight 3 and 5 respectively which were examined by operator Lax pair compatibility test. Based on those candidates, the researcher obtained a compatible operator and matrix Lax pair for the Sawada-Kotera equation.
