THE DIVERSITY OF WILD BEES (APIDAE) ON AGRICULTURAL LAND IN SERANG, PURBALINGGA

Wild bees are pollinators that potentially have an important role in agriculture. The life of wild bees is very dependent on food sources from natural plants, wild or cultivated plants. Pollination by insects contributes significantly to agricultural production, including increasing economic value. Therefore, the aim of this study was to know the wild bees species diversity and environmental factor that affect the diversity of wild bees on agricultural land in Serang, Purbalingga. This study was conducted using survey method with random sampling techniquemand bees was taken in agricultural land area were counted the diversity of bees. The data analysis using F test and continue with the LSD analysis. The study was obtained five diversity of termite in the agricultural area, there are Apis mellifera, Apis dorsata, Amegilla cingulata, Xylocopa caerulea and Xylocopa confusa. The abundance of wild bee was obtained by A. mellifera is highest than the other wild bees with percentage of 34%.
