PENGARUH TINGKAT KEPADATAN KANDANG CLOSED HOUSE TERHADAP JUMLAH ERITROSIT, KADAR HEMOGLOBIN, DAN NILAI HEMATOKRIT AYAM BROILER STRAIN COBB

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, dan nilai hematokrit dari tingkat kepadatan kandang closed house serta menemukan kepadatan kandang optimal dari hasil darahnya. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Ayam broiler Cobb sebanyak 200 ekor unsex dibagi kedalam setiap kepadatan kandang: T1 = 8 ekor/m2, T2 = 9 ekor/m2, T3 = 10 ekor/m2, T4 = 11 ekor/m2, dan T5 = 12 ekor/m2, pada umur 21 hari hingga 35 hari umur pemeliharaan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi lalu dilanjutkan dengan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepadatan kandang tidak berpengaruh nyata pada jumlah eritrosit dan nilai hematokrit (P>0,05), sedangkan kepadatan kandang pada kadar hemoglobin berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01). Jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, dan nilai hematokrit secara umum mengalami penurunan dengan meningkatnya kepadatan kandang. Kondisi ayam berdasarkan indeks eritrosit (MCV, MCH, dan MCHC) menunjukkan ayam mengalami anemia defisiensi zat besi. Kesimpulannya kepadatan kandang terbaik ada pada kepadatan 8 ekor/m2 secara aspek kondisi jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, dan nilai hematokrit dengan pertimbangan aspek ekonomi dan produktivitas ayam broiler strain Cobb.

The study was designed to determine the total of erythrocytes, hemoglobin levels, and hematocrit values at a closed house’s stocking density and finding the best stocking density based on blood profile. This research design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. A total of 200 Cobb broiler chickens unisex divided into each number of stocking density: T1 = 8 bird/m2, T2 = 9 bird/m2, T3 = 10 bird/m2, T4 = 11 bird/m2, dan T5 = 12 bird/m2 and the treatments started from the age of 21 days to 35 days. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance and then continued to Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Overall, the rate of stocking density didn’t affect (P>0,05) for the number of erythrocytes and hematocrit values, while hemoglobin levels were significantly influenced (P<0,01) by the rate of stocking density. The number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin levels, and hematocrit values has decreased in general as stocking density was increasing. Birds were indicated iron deficiency anemia based on erythrocyte indices (MCV, MCH, and MCHC) results. It can be concluded that 8 bird/m2 stocking density was the best treatment viewed from blood parameters and Cobb strain broiler chicken productivity.
