KESENIAN TRADISIONAL SEBAGAI UPAYA DIPLOMASI KEBUDAYAAN NEGARA INDONESIA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami secara mendalam mengenai perkembangan diplomasi kebudayaan Indonesia melalui kesenian tradisional. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwadiplomasi Indonesia pada era Soekarno yakni diplomasi yang mengukuhkan ketahanan nasional dengan mampu mendapatkan pengakuan, serta simpati dari negara-negara lain. Berikutnya pada era Presiden Soeharto, prioritas utama saat itu mengangkat Indonesia dari krisis melalui good neighbourhood policy. Era awal reformasi, Presiden Habibie menjalankan kerjasama dengan ASEAN. Presiden Abdurrahman Wahid, lebih fokus pada isu sosial politis negara di luar negeri. Presiden Megawati fokus pada sisi internal dengan prioritas nasional dan Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, menguatkan kerja sama antar negara ASEAN. Terakhir, Presiden Jokowi meningkatkan pembangunan ekonomi nasional khususnya industri dan pariwisata dengan menarik minat wisatawan luar negeri untuk berkunjung ke Indonesia.

This study aims to understand deeply about the development of Indonesian cultural diplomacy through traditional arts. The results showed that Indonesia's diplomacy in the Soekarno era was diplomacy that strengthened national resilience by being able to gain recognition and sympathy from other countries. Next, in the era of President Soeharto, the main priority at that time was to lift Indonesia from the economic crisis through a good neighborhood policy. In the early era of reform, President Habibie carried out various foreign collaborations with ASEAN. President Abdurrahman Wahid, focused more on the socio-political issues experienced by the state abroad. President Megawati has focused on the internal side of Indonesia with consideration of national priorities and President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyon, has further strengthened cooperation between ASEAN countries. Finally, President Jokowi further enhances national development in the economic sector, especially industry and tourism by attracting foreign tourists to visit Indonesia.
