Serial “2gether” merupakan salah satu serial dengan genre boy’s love yang menggambarkan kisah romantisme antara sesama laki – laki. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemaknaan yang berbeda - beda dari perilaku homoseksual yang dihasilkan para fujoshi yang saat menonton Serial “2gether” dengan melihat latar belakang sosial kultural yang beragam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan Analisis Resepsi oleh Stuart Hall dan pengumpulan datanya menggunakan wawancara mendalam serta Focus Group Discussion (FGD) melalui teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fujoshi dalam penelitian ini merupakan audiens aktif dalam memaknai pesan yang disampaikan oleh media berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi mereka. Pemaknaan dan penerimaan tersebut kemudian dibagi menjadi tiga kemungkinan posisi yaitu pada Dominant Hegemonic Position, Informan menerima secara penuh perilaku homoseksual dalam Serial “2gether” dan tidak memiliki batasan apapun karena menganggap perilaku homoseksual yang ditampilkan merupakan hal lumrah pada hubungan percintaan dan hanya sebuah karya fiksi saja. Negotiated Position terdiri dari informan yang menerima perilaku homoseksual dalam Serial “2gether”, tapi mempertimbangan batasan yang mereka miliki. Oppositional Position dimana informan dalam posisi ini merasa sedikit tidak nyaman dengan perilaku homoseksual dalam Serial “2gether”. Penulis juga menjelaskan pemaknaan fujoshi terhadap perilaku homoseksual dan LGBT di kehidupan nyata.

2gether the series is one of the series with the genre of boy's love that depicts the story of romanticism between boys. The purpose of this study was to find out the different interpretations of homosexual behavior produced by fujoshi watching "2gether" the series based on their personal experience backgrounds. This research uses qualitative research method with Reception Analysis approach by Stuart Hall and data collection using in-depth interview and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) through purposive sampling technique. The results showed that fujoshi in this study is an active audience in interpreting the message conveyed by the media based on their personal experience. The meaning and acceptance is then divided into three possible positions, namely in the Dominant Hegemonic Position, informants fully accept homosexual behavior in "2gether" the series and do not have any restrictions because they consider the displayed homosexual behavior to be commonplace in love relationships and only a fiction. Negotiated Position consists of informants who accept homosexual behavior in "2gether", but consider the boundaries they have. The last position is the Opposition Position where informants in this position feel a little uncomfortable with homosexual behavior in “2gether” the series. The author also explained the meaning of fujoshi towards homosexual behavior and LGBT in real life.
