Hubungan Status Sosial Ekonomi dengan Modal Sosial Siswa SMA di Purwokerto

Artikel ini menjelaskan hubungan status sosial ekonomi orang tua dengan modal sosial siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SMA negeri di Kota Purwokerto dengan metode survei. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi tau kendall. Data primer dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari angket yang telah diberikan kepada siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang negatif antara status sosial ekonomi orang tua dengan modal sosial siswa dengan nilai τ sebesar -0.123. Nilai φ value sebesar 0.298 menunjukkan bahwa hubungan kedua variabel tersebut tidak signifikan (karena φ value >0.05). Adapun kekuatan hubungan antarvariabel adalah lemah. Artinya terdapat faktor-faktor lain yang lebih mempengaruhi modal sosial daripada status sosial ekonomi orang tua. Faktor-faktor tersebut antara lain: pola asuh orang tua dan dorongan dari diri individu.

This article describes the relationship between parents 'socioeconomic status and students' social capital. This research was conducted in a public high school in the city of Purwokerto using a survey method. Methods of data analysis in this study using the Tau Kendall correlation test. Primary data in this study were obtained from a questionnaire that had been given to students. The results showed that there was a negative relationship between the socioeconomic status of parents and the students' social capital with a value of τ of -0.123. The φ value of 0.298 indicates that the relationship between the two variables is not significant (because φ value> 0.05). The strength of the relationship between variables is weak. This means that there are other factors that influence social capital more than the socioeconomic status of parents. These factors include: parenting styles and encouragement from individuals.
