Pada perkembangan industri sepatu zaman sekarang fungsi sepatu bukan lagi sebagai melindungi kaki namun sudah menjadi trend fashion kegiatan sehari-hari bagi masyarakat. Kecamatan Ciomas salah satu sentra industri rumah tangga sepatu yang memiliki prospektif untuk dikembangkan di Kabupaten Bogor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis adanya perbedaan return on asset pada sepatu kulit asli dan sepatu kulit sintetis serta faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap return on asset (ROA) usaha sepatu kulit asli dan kulit sintetis di Kecamatan Ciomas Kabupaten Bogor. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji beda rata-rata, analisis regresi berganda dan elastisitas. Uji beda rata-rata, analisis regresi linier berganda digunakan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat return on asset (ROA) , serta elastisitas digunakan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap return on asset (ROA) usaha sepatu kulit di Kecamatan Ciomas Kabupaten Bogor. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat diketahui, (1) terdapat adanya perbedaan return on asset (ROA)  usaha  pada sepatu kulit asli dan sepatu kulit sintetis industri rumah tangga sepatu kulit di Kecamatan Ciomas Kabupaten Bogor. (2) Variable omzet tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap return on asset (ROA) usaha sepatu kulit di Kecamatan Ciomas Kabupaten Bogor. (3) Variabel efisiensi biaya produksi dan teknologi  berpengaruh signifikan terhadap return on aseet (ROA) usaha. (4) Variable yang sangat berpengaruh yaitu variabel efisiensi biaya produksi terhadap return on asset (ROA) usaha industri rumah tangga sepatu kulit di Kecamatan Ciomas Kabupaten Bogor.

ABSTRACT
	In today's shoe industry the function of shoes is no longer protecting the feet but has become a trend of fashion daily activities for the community. Ciomas district is one of the centers for the shoe household industry that has prospect to be developed  in Bogor Regency. Ciomas sub-district is one of the centers of the shoe household industry which is prospective to develop in Bogor Regency. This research is based on factors that affect the return on assets (ROA) business of genuine leather shoes and sertic leather in Ciomas District, Bogor Regency
	The analytical tool used in this study are  average difference test, multiple regression analysis and elasticity analysis. The average differences test and multiple linear regression analyses were used to determine the factors that influenced the level of return on assets (ROA), meanwhile, elasticity analysis was used to find out the factors that most affected the return on assets (ROA) in the leather shoe business.
	From this study can be known, (1) there are differences in the return of assets (ROA) of businesses on genuine leather shoes and synthetic leather shoes in the leather household industry in the district of Ciomas Bogor Regency. (2) Variable sales turnover had no significant effect on the return on assets (ROA) of the leather shoe business in Ciomas District, Bogor Regency. (3) Variable efficiency of production cost and technology had a significant effect on the return on asset (ROA) of the business. (4) Variable that affecting return on assets (ROA) of leather shoe household industry business the most is variable efficiency of production cost.
