PENGARUH PEMUPUKAN SILICON DAN KEGARAMAN TERHADAP SIFAT KIMIA TANAH ENTISOL

Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) mengetahui pengaruh pupuk silicon terhadap karakteristik sifat kimia tanah entisol, 2) mengetahui pengaruh kegaraman terhadap karakteristik sifat kimia tanah entisol, dan 3) mengetahui interaksi pupuk silicon dan kegaraman terhadap karakteristik sifat kimia tanah entisol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Screen House dan laboratorium ilmu tanah, Fakultas Pertanian UNSOED, dari bulan November 2019 sampai Juli 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan dua perlakuan, yaitu pupuk silicon (kontrol, 5 g/polybag, 10 g/polybag dan 15 g/polybag) dan kegaraman (kontrol, 1 dS/m, 2 dS/m dan 3 dS/m) yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Variabel pengamatan meliputi kandungan pH H2O, pH KCl, Al-dd, KTK, DHL, N tersedia, N total, P tersedia, P total, K tersedia, K total, dan Si tersedia. Data dianalisis dengan uji F dan uji lanjut dengan DMRT dengan tingkat kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian perlakuan kegaraman pada tanah entisol mampu meningkatkan beberapa sifat kimia tanah antara lain pH H2O, daya hantar listrik, K-tersedia, K-total serta mampu menurunkan Si-tersedia. Pemberian perlakuan pupuk silicon pada tanah entisol mampu menurunkan beberapa sifat kimia tanah antara lain pH H2O dan Si-tersedia. Terdapat interaksi antara pemberian perlakuan kegaraman dan pupuk silicon pada tanah entisol pada beberapa sifat kimia tanah antara lain pH H2O dan daya hantar listrik.

This study aims: 1) to determine the effect of silicon fertilizer on the chemical properties of entisol soil, 2) to determine the effect of salinity on the chemical properties of entisol soil, and 3) to determine the interaction between silicon fertilizer and salinity on the chemical properties of entisol soil. This research was conducted at the Screen House and soil science laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, UNSOED, from November 2019 to July 2020. This research used a randomized block design with two treatments, namely silicon fertilizer (control, 5 g / polybag, 10 g / polybag and 15 g / polybag) and salinity (control, 1 dS / m, 2 dS / m and 3 dS / m) were repeated 3 times. The observation variables included pH H2O, KCl pH, Al-dd, CEC, DHL, available N, total N, available P, total P, available K, total K, and available Si. Data were analyzed by F test and further test with DMRT with an error rate of 5%. The results showed that the salinity treatment of entisol soil was able to increase several chemical properties of the soil, including pH H2O, electrical conductivity, available K, K-total and was able to reduce available-Si. Giving silicon fertilizer treatment on entisol soil was able to reduce several soil chemical properties, including pH H2O and Si-available. There is an interaction between the provision of salt treatment and silicon fertilizer on entisol soils on several chemical properties of the soil, including pH H2O and electrical conductivity.
