Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat persistensi inflasi di Purwokerto dan menganalisis sumber-sumber dari persistensi inflasi tersebut terutama dari sisi penawaran. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga dilakukan untuk menganalisis lamanya waktu yang dibutuhkan inflasi untuk kembali ke nilai alamiahnya setelah adanya shock.  
Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan model univariate Autoregressive (AR) time series. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan terhadap data inflasi periode 2012-2019, diketahui bahwa tingkat persistensi inflasi di Purwokerto tergolong tinggi dengan jangka waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk kembali ke nilai alamiahnya selama 10,11 bulan. Tingginya persistensi inflasi tersebut dipengaruhi oleh inflasi kelompok volatile foods dan administered price. Hal ini terlihat dari kontribusi inflasi terbesar pada kelompok komoditas bahan makanan; kelompok perumahan, air, listrik, gas dan bahan bakar; serta kelompok makanan jadi, minuman, rokok dan tembakau. Hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan metode Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan Tim Pengendali Inflasi Daerah (TPID) Eks Karesidenan Banyumas memberikan pengaruh positif terhaadap pengendalian inflasi.
Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah perlunya upaya pengendalian inflasi di Purwokerto antara lain dengan meningkatkan koordinasi dan kerjasama yang baik antara Bank Indonesia, Pemerintah Daerah, dan lembaga atau instansi terkait lainnya melalui forum TPID Eks Karesidenan Banyumas.

The main objective of this study is to measure the inflation persistence level in Purwokerto and to find out the source of inflation persistence, especially from the supply side. In addition, this study also conducted to analyze inflation requires a long time to return to its natural value after shocks.The research conducted using the univariate Autoregressive (AR) time series model. The empirical result using inflation data for the 2012-2019 indicates that the level of inflation persistence in Purwokerto is high with the length of the time required to return to its natural value is 10.11 months. The high persistence of inflation mainly caused by inflation in the volatile foods and administered prices category as proxy of the foodstuff commodity group; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel groups; and processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco groups. The reaserch of the calculation using the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) also shows that the existence of the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) Eks Karesidenan Banyumas Residency proved has a positive effect on controlling inflation.
The implication of the results of this research is the importance of controlling inflation in Purwokerto, by increasing coordination and cooperation between Bank Indonesia, regional government, and other related institutions or agencies through the TPID Eks Karesidenan Banyumas.
