Desa Limpakuwus merupakan desa terdekat dari Gunung Slamet di Kabupaten Banyumas sehingga semua wilayahnya merupakan titik rawan apabila terjadi erupsi. Masyarakat Desa Limpakuwus belum sadar dampak negatif dari erupsi sehingga belum pernah mengikuti pelatihan dan bahkan tidak mengetahui informasi kenaikan status dari normal menjadi waspada pada erupsi Agustus tahun 2019. Adanya permasalahan tersebut yang melatarbelakangi penelitian untuk mengetahui kinerja BPBD Kabupaten Banyumas dalam koordinasi kesiapsiagaan mitigasi bencana erupsi Gunung Slamet di Desa Limpakuwus, Kecamatan Sumbang, Kabupaten Banyumas. Didalam penelitian ini, kinerja BPBD Kabupaten Banyumas dilihat melalui penilaian kinerja dari Agus Dwiyanto yaitu aspek produktivitas, responsivitas, responsibilitas dan akuntabilitas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dilapangan, hasil kinerja BPBD Kabupaten Banyumas yang berfokus pada koordinasi kesiapsiagaan mitigasi bencana erupsi Gunung Slamet pada aspek produktivitas sudah dilakukan upaya kesiapsiagaan mitigasi bencana erupsi dan adanya keterbatasan sumberdaya. Pada aspek responsivitas BPBD cukup merespon, akan tetapi kurang dapat menindaklanjutin aduan dari masyarakat. Aspek responsibilitas menunjukan kinerja BPBD Kabupaten Banyumas sesuai dengan tugas, fungsinya dan ketentuan yang telah ditetapkan. Sedangkan untuk aspek akuntabilitas menunjukan cukup baik kepada masyarakat terkait bantuan, akan tetapi kurang dapat berkoordinasi dengan Pemerintah Desa Limpakuwus mengenai kejelasan informasi status Gunung Slamet.

Limpakuwus Village is the closest village to Mount Slamet in Banyumas Regency, so all of its areas are vulnerable points if an eruption occurs. People of Limpakuwus Village who are not aware of the negative impact of the eruption so they have never attended training and don't even know the information on the status increase from normal to alert for the August 2019 eruption. The existence of these problems is the background of the research to determine the performance of the BPBD of Banyumas Regency in coordinating the preparedness of the Mount Slamet eruption disaster mitigation in Limpakuwus Village, Sumbang District, Banyumas Regency. The performance of the BPBD of Banyumas Regency was seen through the performance appraisal of Agus Dwiyanto, namely the aspects of productivity, responsiveness, responsibility and accountability. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. Based on research conducted in the field, the results of the performance of the BPBD of Banyumas Regency which focus on coordination of Mount Slamet eruption disaster mitigation preparedness in the productivity aspect have made efforts to mitigate eruption disaster preparedness and there are limited resources. On the responsiveness aspect, BPBD responds sufficiently, but is unable to follow up on complaints from the public. The responsibility aspect shows the performance of the BPBD of Banyumas Regency in accordance with its duties, functions and stipulated provisions. As for the accountability aspect, it shows quite well to the community regarding assistance, but is unable to coordinate with the Limpakuwus Village Government regarding the clarity of information on the status of Mount Slamet.
