PENGARUH FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE, PARENTS’ FINANCIAL TEACHING, EXTERNAL LOCUS OF CONTROL, DAN SELF CONTROL TERHADAP FINANCIAL BEHAVIOR (Studi Pada Mahasiswa Universitas Jenderal Soedirman)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh financial knowledge, parents’ financial teaching, external locus of control, dan self control terhadap financial behavior. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 392 responden, yang diambil menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis Structural Equation Model (SEM). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel financial knowledge berpengaruh secara positif terhadap variabel financial behavior, variabel parents’ financial teaching berpengaruh secara positif terhadap variabel financial behavior, variabel external locus of control berpengaruh secara positif terhadap variabel financial behavior, dan variabel self control berpengaruh secara positif terhadap variabel financial behavior. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan bukti tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi financial behavior sehingga dapat memberikan implikasi kepada peneliti selanjutnya yang akan melakukan penelitian dengan permasalahan yang sama.

This study aims to see the effect of financial knowledge, parent's financial teaching, external locus of control, and self-control on financial behavior. The population in this study were students of Jenderal Soedirman University, with a research sample of 392 respondents, who were taken using a purposive sampling method. This research is a quantitative research which is analyzed using the analysis method of Structural Equation Model (SEM). Based on the results of the study, it shows that the variable financial knowledge has a positive effect on the financial behavior variable, the parent's financial teaching variable has a positive effect on the financial behavior variable, the external locus variable has a positive effect on the financial behavior variable, and the self-control variable has a positive effect on the financial behavior variable. The results of this study can provide evidence about the factors that influence financial behavior so that it can have implications for future researchers who will conduct research with the same problem.
