Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)

Artikel hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menjelaskan relasi kuasa yang terjadi dalam pengembangan wisata budaya di wilayah Baduy Kabupaten Lebak, aktor-aktor yang terlibat, pihak yang diuntungkan dan dirugikan, serta faktor kontekstual yang menghambat dan mendorongnya.  Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan studi kasus dalam bingkai perspektif strukturalisme dan paradigma konstruktivisme, hasil penelitian tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa relasi kuasa yang terjadi dalam pengembangan wisata budaya di wilayah Baduy merupakan bentuk interaksi asosiatif yang di dalamnya terdapat kerjasama dan akomodasi antar aktor.  Dalam hal ini aktor yang terlibat adalah lembaga adat Baduy, Pemerintah Desa Kanekes, Pemerintah Kabupaten Lebak, masyarakat setempat, dan pengusaha wisata.  Setiap aktor tersebut mempunyai kepentingan masing-masing, yakni kepentingan ekonomi dan kebudayaan.  Pengembangan wisata budaya di wilayah Baduy memang mampu meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat setempat.  Namun, di sisi lain pengembangan tersebut justru menjadi faktor degradasi kearifan lokal Suku Baduy dan pencemaran lingkungan.  Dampak buruk tersebut mengakibatkan polemik penutupan wisata budaya di wilayah Baduy.  Usul ini disampaikan oleh pemangku adat Baduy.  Dari adanya dampak tersebut, lembaga adat membuat aturan yang menolak konsep wisata.  Tetapi, mereka masih menunjukkan sifat kompromi dengan tidak menolak tamu yang datang ke wilayah Baduy, asalkan bisa mematuhi aturan adat.

The purpose of this study were to identify and to explain the power relations that occured in the development of cultural tourism in Baduy, Lebak Regency, the actors involved, the beneficiaries and the aggrieved parties, as well as the contextual factors that hinder and support it.  By using qualitative method and a case study approach within the framework of the structuralism perspective and constructivism paradigm, the result of this study reveled that the power relations that occurred in the development of cultural tourism in Baduy was a form of associative interaction in which there were cooperation and accommodation between actors.  In this case the actors involved were Baduy customary institutions, Kanekes Village Government, Lebak Regency Government, local communities, and tourism entrepreneurs.  Each actors has its own interests, that are economic and cultural interests.  The development of cultural tourism in Baduy is certainly able to improve the economy of the local community.  However, this development has actually become a factor in the degradation of local wisdom of the Baduy Tribe and environmental pollution.  This bad impact resulted a polemic of closing cultural tourism in Baduy.  This polemic was susggested by a holder customary.  From this impact, customary institutions made rules that rejected the concept of tourism.  But, they still show a compromising nature by not refusing guests who come to Baduy area, as long as they can obey customary rules.
