Bedasarkan hasil penelitian, pada dasarnya pemerintah Kota Tasikmalaya telah melaksanakan Peraturan Daerah Nomor 7 Tahun 2012 Tentang Pengelolaan Sampah di Kota Tasikmalaya sebagai dasar hukum dan acuan dalam rangka melaksanakan pengelolaan sampah di kota tasikamalaya sesuai dengan tugas serta wewenang yang dipangku oleh pemerintah Kota Tasikmalaya. Meski fakta di lapangan ditemukan adanya perrmasalahan-permasalahan yang sudah sampai tahap kritis seperti yang sudah di uraikan di atas, hal ini dikarenakan banyak masyarakat yang menganggap remeh dan membiarkan masalah sampah ini terjadi Kota Tasikmalaya baik karena pengelolaan yang belum optimal dikarenakan berbagai faktor yang menghambat seperti perilaku kebiasaan masyarakat yang masih belum sadar akan pentingnya PHBS (Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat) yang membuat masyarakat masih membuang sampah sembarangan, kurangnya tambahan sarana dan prasarana baik dari segi kuantitas maupun kualitas yang keadaannya sudah dibawah standar operasional dikarenakan intensitas dari pemakaian tanpa ada tambahan sarana prasarana yang baru. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa penerapan kebijakan pengelolaan sampah di Kota Tasikmalaya masih belum optimal penerapannya,

The purpose of this study to find out and to analyze the implementation of waste management policy based on local regulation number 7 of 2012 in tasikmalaya city. Because in tasikmalaya city the volume of trash whom been produce is increasing every year. The waste management policy seems ineffective because the bad habit of people who ignore the issues so it make the waste increasing. Also, because the lack of the resource, makes the waste management has not able to being controlled so the trash pile not happened. This phenomenon is so excited and challenging to discuss about how the implementation of waste management policy based on local regulation in tasikmalaya city.
The research method used is normative juridical, secondary data that has been collected is processed, presented in the form of narrative texts and analyzed by qualitative methods.
Based on the research, basically the government of Tasikmalaya City has doing the implementation of waste management policy based on local regulation number 7 of 2012 in Tasikmalaya City as the legal basis as to do the waste management in Tasikmalaya City same as the purpose and autorithy of local government of Tasikmalaya City. Even in fact on the field that lot a problems whom been found out even with critical situation like been described as at the top, this matter happens because lot of people doesn’t care about the waste problems in Tasikmalaya City because the waste management is still not optimal whom been affected by a lot of inhibiting factor like bad habbit of people who doesn’t care about the important of CAHH (Clean And Healty Habbit) make people still throw the trash carelessly, minimum of additional facilities and infrastructure from which the quantity and quality so poor below the standard because the intensity of usage without addition of new equipment. So that we can say the implementation of waste management policy in Tasikmalaya City still not being optimalized.
