KARAKTER AGRONOMI TANAMAN BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum L.) PADA VARIASI DOSIS PUPUK SILIKA (Si) ALAMI DAN CEKAMAN KEKERINGAN DI TANAH INCEPTISOL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui pengaruh pemupukan silika alami terhadap karakter agronomi tanaman bawang merah di tanah Inceptisol, (2) Mengetahui pengaruh cekaman kekeringan terhadap karakter agronomi tanaman bawang merah di tanah Inceptisol dan (3) Mengetahui interaksi pemupukan silika alami dan cekaman kekeringan terhadap karakter agronomi tanaman bawang merah di tanah Inceptisol. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Screen House Ex Farm Fakultas Pertanian, Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura dan Laboratorium Ilmu Tanah Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2019 sampai Februari 2020. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan pola split plot dengan rancangan dasar RAK (Rancangan Acak Kelompok) dengan 2 perlakuan yaitu dosis pupuk silika alami dan cekaman kekeringan. Faktor dikombinasikan, diperoleh 3x5 terdapat 15 perlakuan dengan 3 kali ulangan serta dalam satu unit percobaan terdapat 3 sampel tanaman sehingga ada 135 tanaman. Variabel yang diamati adalah jumlah klorofil daun, warna daun, panjang daun, jumlah daun, bobot umbi, jumlah umbi, panjang akar, bobot basah akar, dan bobot kering akar. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa Dosis pupuk silika alami (Si) 10 g/polybag dapat meningkatkan jumlah daun sebesar 19,56 helai, dan dosis silika 30 g/polybag meningkatkan bobot umbi sebesar 12,78 g/tanaman. Cekaman kekeringan 80% dapat meningkatkan panjang daun sebesar 38,12 cm, bobot basah akar sebesar 5,15 g/tanaman dan pada keadaan kapasitas lapang (100%) dapat meningkatkan bobot kering akar sebesar 0,07 g/tanaman. Interaksi pada perlakuan kapasitas lapang (100%) dengan dosis silika 40 g/polybag memberikan pengaruh pada variabel bobot umbi sebesar 14,59 g, sedangkan pada dosis silika 30 g/polybag memberikan pengaruh pada variabel jumlah umbi sebesar 7,17 g, sementara pada cekaman kekeringan 60% dengan dosis silika 30 g/polybag memberikan pengaruh pada bobot kering umbi sebesar 0,11 g. The aims of this study are (1) to the effect of natural silica fertilization on the agronomic characters of onion in Inceptisol soil, (2) determine the effect of drought stress on the agronomic characters of onion plants in Inceptisol soil and (3) determine the interaction of natural silica fertilization and stress. drought on the agronomic characters of onion plants in Inceptisol soil. The research was conducted at the Ex Farm Screen House of the Faculty of Agriculture, the Laboratory of Agronomy and Horticulture and the Laboratory of Soil Science, Jenderal Soedirman University. The research was conducted from November 2019 to February 2020. The experimental design used was a split plot pattern with a randomized block design (RAK) with 2 treatments, the dose of natural silica fertilizer and drought stress. Combined factors obtained 3x5, there were 15 treatments with 3 replications and in one experimental unit there were 3 plant samples so there were 135 plants. The variables observed were the amount of leaf chlorophyll, leaf color, leaf length, number of leaves, tuber weight, number of tubers, root length, root wet weight, and root dry weight. The results showed that the dose of natural silica (Si) fertilizer 10 g/polybag increased the number of leaves by 19.56, and the dose of 30 g/polybag increased the tuber weight by 12.78 g/plant. Drought stress 80% can increase leaf length by 38.12 cm, root wet weight by 5.15 g/plant and in the field capacity (100%) can increase root dry weight by 0.07 g/plant. The interaction on the treatment of field capacity (100%) with a dose of 40 g/polybag of silica had an effect on the variable tuber weight of 14.59 g, while the 30 g/polybag dose of silica had an effect on the variable number of tubers of 7.17 g, while in drought stress of 60% with a dose of 30 g/polybag of silica had an effect on the dry weight of 0.11 g tubers.
