MOTIF SISWA MEMILIH SMK

Artikel ini menjelaskan hubungan antara status sosial ekonomi dengan motif siswa memilih SMK dan menjelaskan hubungan antara lingkungan sosial dengan motif siswa memilih SMK. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif jenis survey. Sasaran penelitian adalah siswa kelas 10 SMK Negeri 1 Purwokerto. Hasil penelitian menunjukkanterdapat hubungan negatif antara status sosial ekonomi dengan motif siswa memilih SMK yaitu semakin rendah status sosial ekonomi, semakin tinggi motif siswa memilih SMK dan terdapat hubungan positif antara lingkungan sosial dengan motif siswa memilih SMK yaitu semakin tinggi dukungan lingkungan sosial semakin tinggi motif siswa memilih SMK. Hasil analisis tau kendall hubungan status sosial ekonomi dengan motif memilih SMK yaitu nilai p 0,214 dan nilai korelasi -,126. Hubungan lingkungan sosial dengan motif siswa memilih SMK yaitu nilai p value 0,000 dan nilai korelasi ,496**. Hipotesis penelitian terbukti dan menjadi kesimpulan penelitian, bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara status sosial ekonomi dengan motif siswa memilih SMK dan terdapat hubungan positif antara lingkungan sosial dengan motif siswa memilih SMK. This article to explain the relationship between the socioeconomic status and the students’ motives in choosing Vocational School and to explain the correlation between the social environment and the students’ motives in choosing Vocational School. The method quantitative survey method.The sample of the research were the 10th grade students of State Vocational School 1 Purwokerto.Based on the research it is explained that there is a negative correlation between the socioeconomic status and the students’ motives in choosing the Vocational School in which the lower the socioeconomic status is, the higher the students’ motives in choosing the Vocational School is while there is a positive correlation between the social environment and the students’ motives in choosing the Vocational School in which the higher the social environment support is, the higher the students’ motives in choosing the Vocational School is. The results of the tau kendall analysis are the correlation between the socioeconomic status and the students’ motives in choosing the Vocational School is the p value of 0,214 and the correlation value -,126. The correlation between the social environment and the students’ motives in choosing the Vocational School is the p value of 0,000 an the correlation value ,496**. The research hypothesis is proven and becomes the the research conclusion that there is a negative correlation between the socioeconomic status and the students’ motives in choosing the Vocational School while there is a positive correlation between the social environment and the students’ motives in choosing the Vocational School.
