Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  membandingkan produksi telur per periode peneluran dan massa telur pada berbagai Ayam Kedu. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 6 Februari 2020 – 28 Maret 2020, bertempat di Peternakan Ayam Kedu Kecamatan Kedu Kabupaten Temanggung. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode survey  dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara sensus dengan kriteria ternak Ayam Kedu yang sedang berproduksi antara periode ke-2 sampai dengan periode ke-4. Jumlah sampel terdiri dari 196 ekor Ayam Kedu Cemani, 27 ekor Ayam Kedu Hitam, 19 ekor Ayam Kedu Merah, 19 ekor Ayam Kedu Lurik dan 18 ekor Ayam Kedu Putih. Model analisis menggunakan General Linear Model (GLM) sebagai faktor  pembeda adalah berbagai Ayam Kedu yang terdiri atas 5 Ayam Kedu (Ayam Kedu Cemani, Ayam Kedu Hitam, Ayam Kedu Merah, Ayam Kedu Lurik dan Ayam Kedu Putih) dengan ulangan un equal yaitu peternak. Hasil analisis variansi  menunjukkan bahwa berbagai Ayam Kedu berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap produksi telur per periode peneluran dan massa telur. Hasil Uji Beda Nyata Jujur  menunjukkan bahwa produksi telur Ayam Kedu Cemani berbeda sangat nyata dengan Ayam Kedu Hitam, Ayam Kedu Merah, Ayam Kedu Lurik, dan Ayam Kedu Putih. Hasil Uji Beda Nyata Jujur untuk massa telur menunjukkan bahwa massa telur Ayam Kedu Cemani berbeda sangat nyata dengan Ayam Kedu Hitam dan Ayam Kedu Merah, sedangkan massa telur Ayam Kedu Cemani berbeda nyata dengan Ayam Kedu Lurik dan Ayam Kedu Putih. Hasil rataan produksi telur per periode peneluran untuk Ayam Kedu Cemani, Ayam Kedu Hitam, Ayam Kedu Merah, Ayam Kedu Lurik dan Ayam Kedu Putih berturut-turut adalah 15,11 ± 1,02 butir/periode ; 21,81 ± 1,05 butir/periode; 20,98 ± 0,76 butir/periode ; 19,88 ± 0,94 butir/periode ; dan 20,78 ± 0,78 butir/periode. Hasil rataan massa telur untuk Ayam Kedu Cemani, Ayam Kedu Hitam, Ayam Kedu Merah, Ayam Kedu Lurik dan Ayam Kedu Putih berturut-turut adalah 24,82 ± 1,84 g/ekor; 30,18 ± 0,92 g/ekor; 27,98 ± 0,42 g/ekor; 27,36 ± 0,99 g/ekor ; dan 27,73 ± 0,48 g/ekor. Kesimpulan berdasarkan penelitian ini bahwa terdapat perbedaan produksi telur per periode peneluran dan massa telur pada berbagai Ayam Kedu yang dipelihara oleh Kelompok Tani Ternak Makukuhan Mandiri Kecamatan Kedu Kabupaten Temanggung. Ayam Kedu Cemani memilik produksi telur dan massa telur paling rendah dibandingkan dengan Ayam Kedu lain.

The aims of this research was compare egg laying period and egg mass of various Kedu Chickens. The research was conducted from February 6th - March 28th 2020, held at the Kedu Chicken Farm, Subdistrict Kedu, District of Temanggung. This research used survey method and the samples was taken by census with criteria, Kedu Chicken livestock that were in production between the 2nd to 4th period. The sample consists of 196 Cemani Kedu chickens, 27  Black Kedu Chickens, 19 Red Kedu chickens, 19 Striped Kedu chickens and 18  White Kedu chickens. The analysis model used was General Linear Model (GLM) as a differentiating factor is a variety of 5 Kedu Chickens ( Cemani Kedu Chicken, Black Kedu Chicken, Red Kedu  Chicken, Striped Kedu Chicken and White Kedu Chicken) and as an equal replicated were farmers. The results of the analysis of variance showed that various Kedu chickens had a very significant effect (P <0.01) on egg laying period and egg mass.  The Honesty Difference test  showed that the egg production of Cemani Kedu Chicken was very significantly different from Black Kedu Chicken, Red Kedu Chicken, Striped Kedu Chicken, and White Kedu Chicken. The Honesty Difference test for egg mass showed that the egg mass of Cemani Kedu Chicken was significantly different from Black Kedu and Red Kedu Chickens, while the egg mass of Cemani Kedu Chicken was significantly different from Striped Kedu and White Kedu Chicken. The average yield of egg laying period for  Cemani  Kedu Chicken, Black Kedu Chicken, Red Kedu Chicken, Striped Kedu Chicken and White Kedu Chicken are 15,11 ± 1,02 egg/period, 21,81 ± 1,05 egg/period; 20,98 ± 0,76 egg/period; 19,88 ± 0,94 egg/period; and 20,78 ± 0,78 egg/period. The average egg mass results for Cemani Kedu Chicken, Black Kedu Chicken, Red Kedu Chicken,  Striped Kedu Chicken and White Kedu Chicken are 24,82 ± 1,84 g/head ; 30,18 ± 0,492 g/head; 27,98 ± 0,42 g/head ; 27,36 ± 0,99 g/head ; and 27,73 ± 0,48 g /head. The conclusion based on this research is that there are differences in  egg laying period and egg mass in a variety of Kedu Chickens that are maintained by the Makukuhan Mandiri Livestock Farmers Group, subdistrict Kedu, District of Temanggung. Cemani Kedu Chicken has the lowest egg production and egg mass compared to other Kedu chickens.
