Pengaruh penggunaan tepung roti afkir pada pakan terhadap bobot dan persentase karkas bagian dada dan paha bawah ayam niaga pedaging

Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung roti afkir terhadap bobot dan persentase karkas bagian dada dan paha bawah ayam broiler. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan enam kali ulangan. Materi penelitian adalah ayam broiler strain MB 202 umur 21 hari sebanyak 90 ekor dengan perlakuan selama 20 hari. Perlakuan adalah formula A: pakan tanpa tepung roti afkir/pakan komersial, formula B: pakan menggunakan tepung roti afkir 15% menggantikan jagung, dan formula C: pakan menggunakan tepung roti afkir 30% menggantikan jagung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pakan formula A memberikan bobot bagian dada lebih tinggi dari pada yang mendapat pakan formula B dan C (P<0,05) sedangkan bobot karkas bagian dada ayam broiler mendapat pakan formula B dan C tidak berbeda. Persentase karkas bagian dada ayam broiler yang mendapat pakan formula A, B, dan C tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05). Bobot karkas bagian paha bawah ayam broiler yang mendapat pakan formula A dan C berbeda nyata (P<0,05) sedangkan pakan formula A dan B, serta pakan formula B dan C tidak berbeda. Persentase karkas bagian paha bawah ayam broiler yang mendapat pakan formula A dan B berbeda nyata (P<0,05) sedangkan pakan formula A dan C, serta pakan formula B dan C tidak berbeda. Simpulan hasil penelitian bahwa penggunaan tepung roti afkir sampai 30% menggantikan jagung belum mampu menghasilkan bobot karkas bagian dada dan paha bawah ayam niaga pedaging sebaik ayam yang mendapat pakan tanpa tepung roti afkir/pakan komersial, namun dapat menghasilkan persentase bagian-bagian karkas yang sama kecuali pada paha bawah.

The study was aims to determine the use of rejected bread flour on the weight and percentage of the chest and the lower thighs carcasses of broiler chickens. The study used completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and six times repeatation. The research used MB 202 strain, 21 days old, 90 chickens and treated along 20 days. Feed treatment in this research was formula A: commercial feed without rejected bread flour, formula B: feed used rejected bread flour 15% replacing corn and formula C: feed used rejected bread flour 30% replacing corn. The results showed that the weight of chest carcasses of broiler chickens that got the formula A higher than B and C (P < 0.05) but chest weight from chickens fed formula B and C did not different. The percentage of chest carcasses of broiler chickens that got formula A, B, and C are not significantly different (P > 0.05). The weight of the lower thigh of chickens that got the formula A was higher than ones got formula C (P < 0.05) but for formula A and B also formula B and C were not different lower thigh weight. The percentage of the lower thigh of chicken got formula A and B were significantly different (P < 0.05). The percentage of lower thigh of chickens feed formula A and C also formula B and C were not different. The conclusion of the research was the use rejected bread flour until 30% as a substitution for corn has not able to produce of the same the weight of the chest carcass and lower thighs of commercial broiler chickens as well as chickens that are feed without rejacted bread flour / commercial feed, but can produce the same percentage of carcass parts except on the lower thigh.
