KONSUMSI SERAT KASAR DAN PROTEIN KASAR PAKAN KAMBING YANG DISUPLEMENTASI TEPUNG BAWANG PUTIH (Allium sativum) DAN MINERAL CHROMIUM ORGANIK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh suplementasi tepung bawang putih (Allium satium) dan mineral Chromium organik dalam pakan kambing terhadap konsumsi serat kasar (SK) dan protein kasar (PK). Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah kambing Peranakan Etawa (PE) jantan umur 8 bulan. Pakan perlakuan terdiri atas 40% hijauan, 60% konsentrat (PK 14,36 %; TDN 66,32 %), 250 ppm tepung bawang putih (Allium sativum), dan 1,5 ppm mineral Chromium organik. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan yang diujicobakan yaitu R0 : Pakan basal; R1 : Pakan basal + 250 ppm tepung bawang putih; R2 : Pakan pasal + 250 ppm tepung bawang putih + 1,5 ppm mineral Chromium organik. Perlakuan diulang sebanyak 6 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap konsumsi serat kasar (g/ekor/hari) dengan rataan R0 = 628,86 ± 39,42; R2 = 745,72 ± 57,48; R1 769,17 ± 51,90, namun perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi protein kasar (g/ekor/hari) dengan rataan R0 = 256,81 ± 33,57; R1 = 219,53 ± 32,78; R2 = 236,97 ± 25,22. Kesimpulannya, suplementasi 250 ppm tepung bawang putih dan 1,5 ppm mineral Chromium organik dalam pakan kambing meningkatkan konsumsi serat kasar namun tidak mempengaruhi konsumsi protein kasar.

This research aims to study the effect of garlic flour (Allium satvium) supplementation and organic Chromium mineral in goat feed on consumption of crude fiber and crude protein. The research material used was Peranakan Etawa (PE) 8 month old goats. The treatment feed consisted of 40% forage, 60% concentrate (PK 14.36%; TDN 66.3 2%), 250 ppm garlic flour, and 1.5 ppm organic Chromium mineral. The research method is experimental using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatments researched were R0 : Base feed; R1: Base feed + 250 ppm garlic flour; R2: Base feed + 250 ppm garlic flour + 1.5 ppm organic Chromium mineral. The treatment was repeated 6 times. The results showed that the treatment had a highly significant effect (P <0,01) on the consumption of crude fiber (g/head/day) with an average of R0 = 628.86 ± 39.42; R2 = 745.72 ± 57.48; R1 769.17 ± 51.90, but the treatment had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on the consumption of crude protein (g/head/day) with an average of R0 = 256.81 ± 33.57; R1 = 219.53 ± 32.78; R2 = 236.97 ± 25.22. In conclusion, supplementation of 250 ppm garlic flour and 1.5 ppm organic Chromium mineral in goat feed increases consumption of crude fiber but does not affect consumption of crude protein.
