PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN PROBIOTIK TERHADAP VOLUME DAN MASSA TELUR AYAM NIAGA PETELUR AFKIR

Tujuan dari penelitian ini melihat pengaruhnya terhadap volume dan massa telur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan rancangan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan P0 (pakan basal ditambah probiotik 0 ml/kg pakan), P1 (pakan basal ditambah probiotik 1 ml/kg pakan) dan P2 (pakan basal ditambah probiotik 2 ml/kg pakan) dan masing masing di ulang sebanyak 6 kali dan melibatkan 72 ekor ayam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penambahan probiotik berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap volume telur. Hasil uji lanjut orthogonal pholynomial didapatkan hasil linier dengan persamaan Y= 60,11 -2,00X dengan grafik yang menurun. Penambahan probiotik menurunkan volume telur dan terdapat korelasi antara penambahan probiotik dengan volume telur yang menurun. Hal ini diduga karena pemberian protein dalam pakan belum sesuai kebutuhan, kandungan protein pakan yang masih rendah yaitu antara 15,81% - 16,71%. Hal lain diduga karena penampang oviduk yang sudah maksimal saat ayam sudah berumur tua, sehingga volume telur tidak dapat bertambah besar. Penambahan probiotik bepengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap massa telur, hal tersebut diduga karena dosis probiotik yang belum tepat, pemberian protein yang belum sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kandungan protein pakan yang relatif rendah sehingga ayam belum dapat memproduksi telur dengan baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu penambahan probiotik pada ayam niaga petelur afkir menurunkan volume telur dan terdapat korelasi antara penambahan probiotik dengan volume telur yang menurun. Penambahan probiotik pada ayam niaga petelur afkir belum mampu meningkatkan massa telur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan untuk dilakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan dosis probiotik yang lebih tinggi.

The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of probiotic addition on egg volume and mass of spent laying hens. The research method used was experimental with a completely randomized design (CRD) with treatment P0 (basal feed plus probiotic 0 ml / kg of feed), P1 (basal feed plus probiotic 1 ml / kg of feed) and P2 (basal feed plus probiotic 2 ml / kg of feed) and repeated 6 times and involved 72 chickens. The results showed that the addition of probiotics had a significant effect (P <0.05) on egg volume. The results of orthogonal pholynomial tests obtained linear results with the equation Y = 60,11 -2,00X. The addition of probiotics reduced the volume of eggs and there was a correlation between the addition of probiotics with decreasing egg volume, allegedly because the provision of protein was not appropriate, the protein content of feed was still low, between 15,81% - 16,71% and presumably due to cross section of oviducts that have been maximum when the chicken was old. The addition of probiotics had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on egg mass, this was probably was due to the improper dosage of probiotics. The provision of protein that was not in accordance with the needs and the relatively low feed protein content, ranging from 15.81% - 16.71 % so that the hens could not produce eggs properly. The conclusion of this study was that the addition of probiotics on spent laying hens reduced egg volume and there is a correlation between the addition of probiotics to decreased egg volume. The addition of probiotics in spent laying hens did not increase egg mass. Based on the results of this study the authors suggest that research should be conducted using a higher dose of probiotic.
