Penduduk lansia dianggap sebagai peduduk yang tidak produktif. Namun, di desa Kalisari yang merupakan sentra industri tahu banyak penduduk lansia yang tetap bekerja. Oleh karena itu peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti faktor - faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan penduduk lansia untuk bekerja desa Kalisari Kecamatan Cilongok Kabupaten Banyumas.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh usia, tingkat pendidikan, beban tanggungan keluarga dan pendapatan lain terhadap keputusan lansia untuk bekerja serta untuk mengidentifikasi variabel mana yang paling besar pengaruhnya terhadap keputusan lansia untuk bekerja di sentra industri tahu Kalisari. 
Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah penduduk lansia yang tinggal di desa Kalisari yang bekerja di industri tahu Kalisari maupun yang tidak bekerja. Jumlah responden yang diambil yaitu sebanyak 60 penduduk lansia dengan rincian 30 penduduk lansia yang bekerja di industri tahu dan 30 penduduk lansia yang tidak bekerja yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling dan pelaksanaanya menggunakan teknik wawancara berdasarkan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi binary logistik.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan variabel usia, tingkat pendidikan, beban tanggungan keluarga dan pendapatan lain berpengaruh terhadap keputusan lansia untuk bekerja di sentra industri tahu Kalisari. Secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa variabel usia dan tingkat pendidikan tidak berpengaruh terhadap keputusan penduduk lansia untuk bekerja di sentra industri tahu Kalisari. Sedangkan variabel pendapatan lain memiliki pengaruh negatif signifikandan beban tanggungan keluarga memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap keputusan lansia untuk bekrja di sentra industri tahu Kalisari. Variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap keputusan lansia untuk bekerja di sentra industry tahu Kalisari adalah pedapatan lain.
Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pendapatan lain yaitu pendapatan yang diperoleh selain dari upah bekerja seperti pendapatan dari pekerjaan kedua lansia, bantuan dari pemerintah maupun bantuan dari keluarga atau saudara diharapkan mampu menjamin kesehatan dan keamanan serta kesehatan lansia. Diharapkan bagi anggota keluarga maupun penduduk sekitar yang memiliki lansia untuk dapat lebih memperhatikan lansia agar terpenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya.

The elderly population is considered as unproductive population. In fact, in the village of Kalisari which is Kalisari tofu industry center many elderly people continue to work. Therefore, the athor is interested to study thefactors that influence the decision of the elderly population to work in the tofu industry center at the Village of Kalisari, Cilongok District, Banyumas Regency.
This research aims to analize the effect of age, level of education, number of dependents and other income on the decision of the elderly to work and to identify the most influential on the decision of the elderly to work in the Kalisari tofu industry center.
The population in this study consists of the elderly who live in the Kalisari village who work in the Kalisari tofu industry and who do not work. The respondents consist of 30 elderly people who work in the tofu industry and 30 elderly people who do not work were selected using the random sampling method with survey based on the questionnaire as data collection technique. The data were then analyzed using binary logistic regression.
The results show that simultaneously age, education level, number of dependents, and other income affect the decision of the elderly to work in the Kalisari tofu industry center. Partially age and education level do not affect the decision of the elderly population to work in the Kalisari tofu industry center,while other incomehas significant negative effect and number of dependents has significant positive effect on the elderly's decision to work at the Kalisari tofu industry center.
The results imply that other incomes such as the income from their side jobs, government aids, and family aids hopefully can guarantee the health, security, and the elderly’s health. It is expected that family members and households who have elderly should pay more attention to the elderly in order to meet their needs.
