Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)

Penelitian yang berjudul “The Impact of Human’s Behavior on Dolphin’s Life in Dolphin Tale Series Directed by Charles Martin Smith” bertujuan untuk mencari tahu bagaimana dampak perilaku manusia terhadap kehidupan lumba-lumba dalam film Dolphin Tale. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menganalisis data. Data utama dari penelitian ini adalah film dari Charles Martin Smith yang berjudul Dolphin Tale (2011) dan Dolphin Tale 2 (2014). Selain itu, peneliti juga menggunakan teori Ekokritisisme  untuk menganalisis dampak positif dan negatif dari perilaku manusia terhadap kehidupan lumba-lumba. Teori tentang manusia dan alam serta penelitian tentang lumba-lumba juga digunakan untuk menganalisis dampak perilaku manusia terhadap kehidupan lumba-lumba. Selain itu, peneliti menemukan bahwa beberapa perilaku manusia dapat memberikan dampak positif dan negatif terhadap kehidupan lumba-lumba. Dampak negatifnya dapat terlihat pada lumba-lumba yang mengalami cedera yang disebabkan oleh manusia. Sedangkan untuk dampak positifnya dapat dilihat pada lumba-lumba yang berhasil disembuhkan. Berdasarkan fakta tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat keseimbangan antara dampak positif dan negatif dari perilaku manusia terhadap kehidupan lumba-lumba.

The research entitled “The Impact of Human’s Behavior on Dolphin’s Life in Dolphin Tale Series Directed by Charles Martin Smith” aims to figure out how human’s behaviors affect the dolphin’s life in Dolphin Tale. The researcher used qualitative method to analyze the data. The primary data is Charles Martin Smith’s movies entitled Dolphin Tale (2011) and Dolphin Tale 2 (2014). In addition, the researcher used Ecocriticism theory to analyze the positive and negative impacts of the human’s behavior on the dolphin’s life. Theories of human and nature, and dolphin studies also used to analyze the impacts of the human’s behavior on the dolphin’s life. Moreover, the researcher found that some of human’s behaviors can give the negative impacts while the other gives the positive impacts to the dolphin’s life. Human behaviors both positive and negative can affect the dolphin’s life. The negative impact can be seen on the dolphin who gets the injury because of human behavior. Meanwhile, the positive impact can be seen on the dolphin who successfuly recovered. Based on those fact, it can be concluded that there is a balance of the positive and negative impacts of human’s behavior in dolphin’s life.
