EFEKTIVITAS PEER LEARNING DAN KLASIKAL TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN INTERPRETASI AGD PERAWAT RSUP DR. SARDJITO

Latar belakang: Perawat yang kompeten diharapkan mampu melakukan interpretasi analisa gas darah (AGD). Kompetensi tersebut dapat dicapai dengan terus belajar. Hasil belajar dipengaruhi oleh metode belajar. Metode pembelajaran klasikal berpusat pada pengajar dimana peserta didik mendengarkan materi yang disampaikan pengajar secara tuntas. Peer learning merupakan metode yang berpusat pada peserta didik, dengan pembelajaran dalam kelompok kecil. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan efektivitas metode peer learning dan klasikal terhadap kemampuan perawat melakukan interpretasi AGD di RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta. Metodologi: Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian eksperimen dengan pre and posttest comparison two group design. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling. Besar sampel sejumlah 40 responden untuk tiap kelompok. Alat pengambilan data berupa kuesioner tes kasus ketidakseimbangan asam-basa. Analisis data menggunakan analisa univariat dengan distribusi frekuensi dan analisa bivariat dengan uji t. Hasil: Hasil penelitian didapatkan responden kelompok peer learning dan klasikal mengalami peningkatan kemampuan melakukan interpretasi AGD setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan masing-masing metode. Terdapat perbedaan signifikan peningkatan rerata kemampuan interpretasi AGD responden kelompok peer learning ( =3,175) dibandingkan responden kelompok klasikal ( =2,319). Hasil uji beda selisih mean didapatkan p=0,001. Kesimpulan: Metode pembelajaran peer learning lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan perawat melakukan interpretasi AGD.

Background: Competent nurses are expected to be able to interpret blood gas analysis (BGA). These competencies can be achieved by continuing to learn. Learning outcomes are influenced by learning methods. Classical learning methods are centered on teachers where the students listen to the material delivered by the teacher completely. Peer learning is a student-centered method, with learning in small groups. This research was conducted to discover the differences in the effectiveness of the peer learning method and the classical method on the nurses' ability to interpret BGA at RSUP Dr. Sardjito of Yogyakarta. Methodology: This research used an experimental research design with the pre and post-test comparison of two group. Sampling in this research used a random sampling technique. Total sample in this research was 40 respondents for each group. The research data collection tool was questionnaires about acid-base imbalance test case. The data analysis used the univariate analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate analysis with t-test. Results: The results found that the respondents of the peer learning group and the classical group experienced an increase in the ability to interpret BGA after learning by each method. There was a significant difference in the mean improvement in the BGA interpretation ability of the respondents in the peer learning group ( = 3.175) compared to the respondent of the classical group ( = 2.319). The difference test results in the mean difference obtained p < 0.001 Conclusion:The peer learning method is more effective to improve nurses’ ability on blood gas analysis interpretation.
