Kualitas sarana transportasi disuatu negara sangat bergantung pada kondisi perekonomian negera yang bersangkutan.Transportasi merupakan salah satu indikator menunjukan tingkat pembangunan nasional suatu negara, yaitu dalam lalu lintas perdagangan masyarakat. Salah satu sarana pengangkutan yang dapat digunakan adalah kereta api. Kereta api memiliki keunggulan yaitu dapat mengangkut orang maupun barang secara masal, juga dapat dipadukan dengan transportasi lain. Namun, berdasarkan Undang – Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2007 tentang Perekeretaapian tidak ada satu katapun yang menyebutkan adanya penggunaan boarding pass ketika akan naik kereta api. Oleh karena itu, perlu diteliti secara yuridis arti penting Boarding Pass bagi penumpang kereta api.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yuridis normatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan di pusat informasi ilmiah Fakultas Hukum Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (PII), di PT. Kereta Api (PERSERO) DAOP V Purwokerto. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi data primer dan sekunder. Data yang diperoleh  dengan melakukan studi pustaka dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Boarding Pass yang dikeluarkan PT.KAI sudah berjalan sesuai dengan PP Nomor 82 Tahun 2012 tentang Penyelenggaraan Sistem dan Transaksi Elektronik, Surat Keputusan Direksi KEP.U.LL003/XI/KA-2015 tentang Syarat–Syarat dan Tarif Angkutan Kereta Api serta UU Nomor 23 Tahun 2007 tentang Perkeretaapian.

BOARDING PASSES JURIDICAL REVIEW for Passangers on INDONESIA TRAINS COMPANY BASE in ACTS NUMBER 23 2007 on CONCERNING RAILWAYS

The quality of transportation facilities in a country depends on the economic conditions of the country concerned. Transportation is one indicator that shows the level of national development of a country, namely in the public trade traffic. One of the transportation facilities that can be used is a train. The train has the advantage of being able to transport people and goods en masse, it can also be integrated with other transportation. At this time, prospective passengers who have purchased train tickets when going to board a train are required by station officials to check-in to take a Boarding Pass. However, based on Law Number 23 Year 2007 concerning Railways, not a single word mentioned the use of Boarding Passes when going on a train. therefore, it needs to be examined juridically the importance of the Boarding Pass for train passengers.
The Purpose from this research is a normative juridical research that is descriptive in nature. The study was conducted at the scientific information center at the Faculty of Law, University of General Sudirman (PII), at PT. Kereta Api (PERSERO) DAOP V Purwokerto. The data used in this study include primary and secondary data. Data obtained by conducting library research and interviews. The results showed that the policy of PT. KAI uses online ticket reservations with the output Boarding Pass in accordance with the online transaction law, namely PP No. 82 of 2012 concerning the Implementation of System and Electronic Transactions, precisely Article 27, 46, 47 and Article 50. The existence of Boarding Pass is a substitute document for the ticket as stated in the Decree of the Board of Directors of KEP.U.LL003 / XI / KA-2015 concerning Terms and Conditions of Railroad Transport Article 16 concerning Boarding Passes.
