Penetapan Kadar Flavonoid Total Dan Aktivitas Antioksidan Ekstrak Etanol Zingiber officinale Dan Zingiber ottensi Dengan Metode Frap

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menentukan kandungan flavonoid ekstrak etanol Zingiber officinale dan Zingiber ottensii, aktivitas antioksidan dan korelasi flavonoid terhadap antioksidan. Uji kandungan flavonoid digunakan metode Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT) dan Alumunium Klorida (AlCl3). Uji aktivitas antioksidan digunakan metode Ferric Reducing Power (FRAP). Korelasi kandungan flavonoid terhadap antioksidan dianalisis dengan Pearson Correlation. Hasil KLT ekstrak etanol Zingiber officinale dan Zingiber ottensii menunjukkan adanya flavonoid. Kandungan flavonoid total kedua ekstrak masing-masing sebesar 55,232 ± 2,430 mgQE/g dan 14,924 ± 0,4699 mgQE/g. Nilai IC50 Zingiber officinale sebesar 15,208 ppm dan Zingiber ottensii sebesar 114,559 ppm. Korelasi flavonoid terhadap aktivitas antioksidan Zingiber officinale sebesar -0,995 dan Zingiber ottensii sebesar -0,985. Zingiber officinale dan Zingiber ottensii mempunyai aktivitas antioksidan sangat kuat dan moderat. Terdapat korelasi tinggi yang negatif dan bersifat signifikan antara flavonoid terhadap antioksidan.

This study aims to determine the flavonoid content of Zingiber officinale and Zingiber ottensii, antioxidant activity and the correlation of flavonoids with antioxidant. Flavonoids content determination were used by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and Aluminum Chloride (AlCl3) methods. The antioxidant activity was measured using the Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP). The correlation of flavonoids with antioxidant activity in statistically test with Pearson Correlation. The results of TLC extracts of Zingiber officinale and Zingiber ottensii showed the presence of flavonoids. The total flavonoids content in both extracts were 55,232 ± 2,430 mgQE/g and 14,924 ± 0,4699 mgQE/g. IC50 Zingiber officinale and Zingiber ottensii values were 15,208 ppm and 114,559 ppm. Correlation of flavonoids to the antioxidant activity of Zingiber officinale and Zingiber ottensii were -0.995 and -0.985, respectively. Zingiber officinale and Zingiber ottensii have very strong and moderate antioxidant activity. There is a significant high negative correlation between total flavonoids and antioxidant
