Artikel ini menggambarkan berbagai macam bentuk komodifikasi kecantikan yang terjadi di dunia kecantikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan mengenai apa yang dialami mahasiswa sehingga melakukan perawatan di beauty center. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik analisis data model interaktif menurt Milles dan Haberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa mahasiswa yang melakukan perawatan di beauty center merasa lebih percaya diri setelah melakukan perawatan tanpa sadar mereka hanya dijadikan lading uang bagi kaum kapitalis. Di sini perempuan hanya sibuk memperbaiki kecantikan fisik mereka sehingga mengabaikan kecantikan yang berasar dari hati.

SUMMARY This research describe various from of commodification of beauty in the beauty world. This research aims to describe and explain what was experienced by college students so they decide to have any treatment in the beauty center. This research uses qualitative research methods, with interactive model data analysis technique by Milles and Haberman.. The results of this research indicate that college students who do any beauty treathment in the beauty center are feeling more confident after it, but they don’t realize that they are just being field of money by the capitalists. Here women are just being busy to improve their physical beauty, and they ignore the beauty which come frtom the heart.
