Penelitian ini berjudul Struktur Komunitas Fitoplankton di Sungai Donan Cilacap. Fitoplankton merupakan tumbuhan renik mikroskopis yang hidup mengambang atau melayang di perairan dan selalu terbawa oleh arus. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas fitoplankton di Sungai Donan Cilacap dan hubungan antara nitrat dan ortophosfat dengan kelimpahan fitoplankton. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode survei dengan Purposive Random Sampling pada 4 stasiun berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa indeks keragaman fitoplankton di Sungai Donan Cilacap berkisar antara 1,847-2,308. Kelimpahan fitoplankton berkisar antara 568-1.068 ind/L. Indeks kemerataan fitoplankton berkisar antara 0,666-0,852. Indeks dominansi fitoplankton di sungai Donan berkisar antara 0,112-0,241.

This study is entitled Phytoplankton Community Structure in Donan River, Cilacap. Phytoplankton are microscopic plants that live afloat in the waters and are always carried by currents. The purpose of this study was to determine community structureof phytoplankton in Donan River, Cilacap and determine the relationship between nitrate and orhoposphate with abundance of phytoplankton. The method used is a survey method with Purposive Random Sampling at 4 different stations. The results showed that the value of the phytoplankton diversity index in Donan River, Cilacap ranged from 1,847 to 2,308. Phytoplankton abundance values range from 568-1.068 ind/L. Phytoplankton evenness index value ranges from 0,666-0,852. The value of phytoplankton dominance index in the Donan river ranges from 0,112 to 0,241.
