KECERNAAN BAHAN KERING DAN BAHAN ORGANIK PAKAN SAPI POTONG YANG DIBERI KULIT BUAH NAGA (Hylocereus polyrhizus) SECARA IN VITRO

Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji pengaruh pemberian kulit buah naga dalam ransum terhadap kecernaan bahan kering (KBK) dan kecernaan bahan organik (KBO) pakan sapi potong secara in vitro. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 5 Agustus sampai 5 September 2019 bertempat di Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Pakan yang digunakan berupa rumput gajah 40% dan konsentrat 60% serta kulit buah naga dengan perlakuan P1 0%, P2 3%, P3 6% berdasarkan BK pakan. Penelitian menggunakan metode experimental secara in vitro dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Variabel yang diukur adalah kecernaan bahan kering dan kecernaan bahan organik pakan sapi potong. Analisis data menggunakan analisis variansi dengan uji lanjut Orthogonal Polinomial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rataan KBK (%) masing-masing perlakuan sebagai berikut : P1= 31,31±1,94; P2 = 36,04±1,84; dan P3 = 34,49±3,94. Rataan KBO (%) masing-masing perlakuan yaitu sebesar P1 = 35,76±1,88; P2 = 41,08±1,86; dan P3 = 38,74±2,81. Pemberian kulit buah naga berpengaruh secara kuadrater terhadap KBK dan KBO masing-masing dengan persamaan Y = 31,31 + 2,63X – 0,35X2 koefisien determinasi (R2) 0,64 dan Y = 35,76 + 3,05X – 0,43X2 koefisien determinasi (R2) 0,76 dengan titik puncak P(3,75%; 36,04±1,84) dan P(3,54%; 41,08±1,86). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah taraf optimum pemberian kulit buah naga ditinjau dari KBK dan KBO yaitu 3,54% berdasarkan BK pakan.

The purpose of study was to examine the effect of giving dragon fruit peels in the ration on the digestibility of dry matter and organic matter of beef cattle feed in vitro. The study was conducted on August 5 to September 5 2019 at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Food Sciences, Faculty of Animal Science, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. The feed used is napier grass 40% and 60% concentrate and the peel of dragon fruit with treatment P1 0%, P2 3%, P3 6% based on feed DM. Testing experiments were carried out in vitro using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications. The measured variables were digestibility of dry matter and digestibility organic matter of beef cattle feed. Data analysis used analysis of variance and Orthogonal Polynomial test. The results showed the average digestibility of dry matter (%) of each treatment as follows: P1 = 31.31 ± 1.94; P2 = 36.04 ± 1.84; and P3 = 34.49 ± 3.94. The average digestibility of organic matter (%) of each treatment that is equal to P1 = 35.76 ± 1.88; P2 = 41.08 ± 1.86; and P3 = 38.74 ± 2.81. Provision of dragon fruit peel quadratic influence on the digestibility of dry matter and organic matter each with the equation Y = 31.31 + 2.63X - 0.35X2, coefficient of determination (R2) 0,64 and Y = 35.76 + 3.05X - 0.43X2, coefficient of determination (R2) 0,76 with peak point P(3,75%; 36,04±1,84) and P(3,54%; 41,08±1,86). The conclusion of this study is the optimum level of addition of dragon fruit peel that affects the digestibility of dry matter and organic matter is 3.54% based on feed DM.
