KAJIAN FORMULA NUTRISI DAN MEDIA TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN SELADA (Lactuca sativa L.) PADA HIDROPONIK SISTEM RAKIT APUNG

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) pengaruh formula nutrisi dengan kandungan N yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada hidroponik sistem rakit apung, (2) pengaruh media tanam untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada hidroponik sistem rakit apung, dan (3) pengaruh kombinasi formula nutrisi dan media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada hidroponik sistem rakit apung. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2019 - Mei 2019 di screen house Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok lengkap (RAKL) dua faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu formula nutrisi yang terdiri dari lima taraf, yaitu F0 = 7,5% N (kontrol), F1 = 6% N, F2 = 7,5% N, F3 = 9% N dan F4 = 10,5% N. Faktor kedua yaitu media tanam yang terdiri dari dua macam yaitu M1 = cocogrow dan M2 = cocogrow+zeolit. Variabel yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, bobot tanaman segar, bobot tanaman kering, panjang akar, volume akar, dan nilai Daya Hantar Listrik (DHL). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi formula nutrisi dengan kandungan N 9% dapat menghasilkan jumlah daun sebesar 5,14 helai/tanaman, bobot tanaman segar 71,35 g/tanaman dan bobot tanaman kering 2,68 g/tanaman. Aplikasi media tanam cocogrow + zeolit dapat menghasilkan tinggi tanaman sebesar 31,54 cm, luas daun 79,20 cm2/tanaman dan nilai DHL 1358,03 µS/cm.

The purpose of this research was knowing to (1) the effect of nutritional formula with the right N content for growth and yield of lettuce plants on hydroponic floating raft system, (2) the effect of planting media for growth and yield of lettuce plants on hydroponic floating raft system, and (3) the effect of combinations of nutritional formula and planting media for growth and yield of lettuce plants on hydroponic floating raft system. This research began in March 2019 - May 2019 and was held at the screen house of the Faculty of Agriculture, General Sudirman University, Purwokerto. The design was used a Completely Randomized Block Design (RCBD) with two factors and three replications. The first factor is the nutritional formula which consists of five levels, that is F0 = 7,5% N (control), F1 = 6% N, F2 = 7,5% N, F3 = 9% N dan F4 = 10,5% N . The second factor is the planting media which consists of two types, that is M1 = cocogrow dan M2 = cocogrow+zeolite. Variables observed included plant height, leaves amount, leaf area, weight of fresh plants, weght of dried plant, root length, root volume, and electrical conductivity value (EC). The results showed that the application of nutritional formula with a content of N 9% (F3) can produce the leaves amount up to 5.14 strands/plant, weight of fresh plants 71.35 g/plant and weight of dried plants 2.68 g/plant. The application of planting media with cocogrow + zeolite can produce plant height up to 31.54 cm, leaf area 79.20 cm2/plant and electrical conductivity value 1358.03 µS/cm.
