Tujuan dari dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui serta membandingkan kadar total solid dan berat jenis susu segar yang terkandung dalam susu di kelompok peternak sapi perah Tirto Margo Utomo Kecamatan Sumbang dan Margo Mulyo Kecamatan Baturraden, mengetahui keeratan hubungan antara total solid dan berat jenis susu di kelompok peternak sapi perah Tirto Margo Utomo Kecamatan Sumbang dan Margo Mulyo Kecamatan Baturraden. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode survei dan Uji laboratorium. Penetapan sampel dilakukan secara Purposive Sampling, dengan pengambilan sampel susu yang sebanyak 500 ml susu yang telah dikomposit dari masing masing peternak. Sampel susu yang telah diperoleh akan di ujikan menggunakan lactoscan, datayang telah terkumpul dimasukan ke dalam tabulasi data. Kemudian data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan uji t, uji t digunakan untuk mengetahui perbandingan dua variabel dan regresi linier untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dua variabel. Hasil penelitian total solid di kedua Kecamatan tersebut memiliki rataan sebesar 11,31±0,12% dan 11,66±0,12%. Analisis uji “t” menunjukkan bahwa total solid di dua Kecamatan tersebut tidak berbeda nyata ( P > 0,05). Berat jenis susu di kedua Kecamatan tersebut memiliki rataan yang sama yaitu 1,029 gr/ml. Analisis uji “t” menunjukkan berat jenis di kedua Kecamatan tidak berbeda nyata ( P > 0,05).Hubungan antara dua variabel diformulasikan sebagai Y = 607,17 - 601,36x dengan nilai korelasi R = 0,84, sehingga menunjukkan hubungan yang sangat kuat. Kualitas susu segar ditinjau dari total solid dan berat jenis pada kedua Kecamatan tersebut adalah relatif sama dan  termasuk bagus (sesuai SNI 2011).

The purpose of this research is to find out and compare the total levels of solid and fresh milk density contained in milk in the group of dairy farmers Tirto Margo Utomo Sumbang and Margo Mulyo Baturraden Districts, to know the close relationship between total solid and milk density in the groups dairy farmers Tirto Margo Utomo, Sumbang and Margo Mulyo, Baturraden. The study was conducted using survey methods and laboratory tests. Determination of the sample is done by Purposive Sampling, by taking 500 ml of milk samples that have been compiled from each breeder. Milk samples that have been obtained will be tested using Lactoscan, the data collected has been entered into the data tabulation. Then the data is analyzed using the t test, t test is used to determine the comparison of two variables and linear regression to determine the relationship between the two variables.The results of the total solid research in the two districts had an average of 11.31 ± 0.12% and 11.66 ± 0.12%. Analysis of the "t" test showed that the total solid in the two sub-districts was not significantly different (P> 0.05). The weight of milk in the two sub-districts had the same average of 1.029 gr / ml. Analysis of the "t" test showed the densityin the two districts was not significantly different (P> 0.05). The relationship between the two variables was formulated as Y = 607,17 - 601,36x with a correlation value of R = 0.84, thus showing a very strong relationship. The quality of fresh milk in terms of total solid and density in the two districts was good (according to SNI 2011).
