Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana representasi perempuan korban body shaming pada serial  My ID is Gangnam Beauty.. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori  semiotika visual yang digunakan untuk membedah bagaimana simbol-simbol, tanda-tanda, kode, ataupun makna yang menggambarkan perempuan sebagai korban body shaming dan teori representasi sebagai pendamping. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan objek berupa adegan-adegan body shaming terhadap perempuan, sedangkan subyek berupa serial drama  My ID is Gangnam Beauty. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis semiotika visual yang meliputi tanda-tanda (ikon, indeks, dan simbol), kode-kode Barthes (kode hermeneutik, semantik, simbolik, narasi, dan kebudayaan), serta makna denotatif dan makna konotatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan maka diperoleh bahwa terdapat empatbelas scene yang menampilkan adegan body shaming terhadap perempuan yang meliputi, tanda verbal berupa, gaya bahasa, slang dan makna bahasa, tanda visual meliputi, ikon berupa cuplikan adegan, ekspresi yang ditampilkan oleh pemain maupun teknik pengambilan gambar yang dipilih, indeks berupa arti dari setiap ikon yang ditemukan, dan simbol berupa pesan simbolik tentang perlakuan body shaming terhadap perempuan dari setiap scene yang telah dianalisis, serta Makna denotatif berupa penampilan pemain, adegan yang ditampilkan secara eksplisit, kata-kata yang terlontar, sedangkan makna konotatif berupa arti warna, arti atribut yang digunakan pemain, penampilan, arti pengambilan gambar, adegan yang ditampilkan secara implisit. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa Serial drama My ID is Gangnam Beauty muncul sebagai bentuk penolakan atas tingginya standar kecantikan yang dapat memicu kasus body shaming dan merepresentasikan body shaming yang terjadi di Korea Selatan khususnya body shaming terhadap perempuan.

The purpose of this research is to determine how the representation of women victims of body shaming in the My ID is Gangnam Beauty series. The theory used in this research is visual semiotic theory used to dissect how symbols, signs, codes, or meanings that describe women as a victim of body shaming and representation theory as a companion. This research uses a qualitative approach with objects in the form of body shaming scenes against women, while the subject is the drama series My ID is Gangnam Beauty. Data analysis is done by using visual semiotic analysis which includes signs (icons, indices, and symbols), Barthes codes (hermeneutic, semantic, symbolic, narrative, and cultural codes), as well as denotative and connotative meanings. Based on the results of the research conducted, it was found that there were fourteen scenes showing body-shaming scenes against women, among them, verbal signs in the form of language styles, slang and language meanings, visual signs including, icons in the form of scenes, expressions displayed by players and taking techniques the selected image, the index in the form of the meaning of each icon found, and the symbol in the form of a symbolic message about the body-shaming treatment of women from each scene that has been analyzed, and the denotative meaning in the form of a player's appearance, scenes that are explicitly displayed, words that come out, while the connotative meaning is the meaning of color, the meaning of the attributes used by the player, appearance, the meaning of taking pictures, the scenes displayed implicitly. These results indicate that the drama series My ID is Gangnam Beauty emerged as a form of rejection of the high standard of beauty that could trigger the case of body shaming and represent body shaming that occurred in South Korea, especially body shaming of women.
