Produktivitas dan indeks reproduksi induk domba Garut di perbibitan ternak domba dan kambing di desa Margawati Kabupaten Garut. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Garut pada bulan Maret 2019. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi ternak domba di Kabupaten Garut serta menganalisa produktivitas yang dimiliki oleh induk domba garut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode seurvei. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling, jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 30% dari total pupolasi. Variable yang diamati adalah produktivitas dan indeks reproduksi induk domba, dengan jenis sampel yang diambil litter size, mortalitas, selang beranak, bobot lahir dan bobot sapih anak domba. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, rataan littersize, mortalitas, selang beranak, bobot lahir, dan bobot sapih induk domba Garut di Perbibitan Margawati Kabupaten Garut masing-masing adalah 1,69 ekor/induk/kelahiran; 27%; 1,44 tahun; 2,57 kg; dan 10,36 kg. Disimpulkan bahwa produktivitas yang dimiliki induk domba memiliki hubungan dengan indeks reproduksi induk yang dimiliki domba, semakin tinggi nilai produktivitas pada induk, maka semakin tinggi indeks reproduksi induk domba. Indeks reproduksi induk dan produktivitas domba Garut di Perbibitan Domba Garut Margawati menunjukkan hasil yang baik adalah 1.48 ekor/induk/tahun dan 15,45 Kg/Ekor/induk/Tahun.

Productivity and reproduction index  of Garut sheep at sheep and goat breeding in Margawati village Garut regency. The study was conducted in Garut Regency in March 2019. The study aimed to determine the potential of sheep livestock in Garut Regency and analyze the productivity of Garut Ewes. The method used in this study is the survey method. Sampling was done by purposive sampling, the number of samples taken was 30% of the total pupolation. The variables observed were the productivity and reproductive index of ewes, with the types of samples taken litter size, mortality, lambing interval, birth weight and weaning weights of lambs. The research results showed that, the average littersize, mortality, lambing interval, birth weight, and weaning weight of Garut ewes at Margawati Breeding in Garut Regency were respectively .1,69 tail / parent / birth; 27%.; 1,44 year; 2,57. kg; and 10,36 kg. It was concluded that the the productivity of the sheep had a relationship with the reproductive index of the parent owned by the sheep, because the higher the productivity value of the parent, the higher the index of reproduction of the sheep. Reproductive index value and the productivity  of Garut ewes in Balai Perbibitan Domba Garut Margawati showed good results is 1,48 tail/ewe/year and 15,45 Kg/Tail/ewe/year.
