CONSTRUCTIVE ENGAGEMENT INDONESIA DALAM UPAYA REKONSILIASI KONFLIK ROHINGYA (2016-2018)

Penelitian yang berjudul “Constructive Engagement Indonesia dalam Upaya Rekonsliasi Konflik Rohingya (2016-2018)” ditulis dengan menggunakan sudut pandang konsep constructive engagement. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana bentuk constructive engagement Indonesia dalam membantu rekonsiliasi konflik Rohingya. Sesuai dengan respon yang terbuka dari Myanmar dan pujian dari dunia internasional, implementasi konsep constructive engagement dinilai berhasil karena tidak melanggar prinsip non-intervensi ASEAN dan memberikan hasil yang positif dalam proses rekonsiliasi. Namun demikian, tanpa sinergi dan komitmen dari dunia internasional, khususnya negara anggota ASEAN, perdamaian di Myanmar tetap akan sulit dicapai.

The study entitled "Constructive Indonesian Engagement in Reconciliation Efforts in Rohingya Conflict (2016-2018)" was written using the concept of constructive engagement. The focus of this study is to find out how Indonesia's form of constructive engagement is in helping to reconcile the Rohingya conflict. In accordance with the open response from Myanmar and international praises, the implementation of the concept of constructive engagement was considered successful because it did not violate ASEAN's principle of non-intervention and gave positive results in the reconciliation process. However, without synergy and commitment from the international communities, especially ASEAN member countries, peace in Myanmar will still be difficult to achieve.
