Dewasa ini kebutuhan komunikasi semakin meningkat terutama dalam bidang Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi. Kebutuhan tersebut dapat terealisasikan dengan adanya jaringan komunikasi yang cepat dan terjamin intensitas kecepetannya tersebut. Pada masa kini di setiap tempat tentunya di butuhkan akses komunikasi yang cepat salah satu contohnya di Perumahan Griya Satria Bantarsoka Purwokerto. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut maka digunakan jaringan kabel serat optik yang merupakan salah satu media transmisi yang memiliki kapasitas bandwidth yang besar. Teknologi jaringan kabel serat optik yang digunakan sebagai media transmisi ini disebut juga dengan JARLOKAF (Jaringan Lokal Akses Fiber) dimana salah satu aplikasi dari JARLOKAF yang ditempatkan di Titik Konversi Optik (TKO) tepat berada di rumah pelanggan (end user) yaitu konfigurasi jaringan Fiber To The Home (FTTH). Teknologi yang digunakan dalam jaringan Fiber To The Home (FTTH) adalah teknologi Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) sebagai standar perangkat dalam jaringan Fiber To The Home (FTTH). Perumahan Griya Satria Bantarsoka Purwokerto dipilih sebagai objek penelitian karena pada lokasi ini diperlukan peningkatan kapasitas bandwidth dengan memperhatikan parameter-parameter kelayakan jaringan akses yang baik seperti Power Link Budget, Rise Time Budget, PowerTransmit, Power Receive (Pr), jumlah traffic yang dibutuhkan, dan analisis Bit Error Rate (BER).

Today, communication needs are increasing, especially in the fields of Information and Communication Technology. These needs can be realized by the existence of a fast communication network and guaranteed the speed of the speed. At present in every place, of course, you need access to fast communication, one example of which is Griya Satria Bantarsoka Residence Purwokerto. To meet these needs, fiber optic cable networks are used which is one of the transmission media that has a large bandwidth capacity. The fiber optic cable network technology used as a transmission medium is also called JARLOKAF (Local Fiber Access Network) where one application from JARLOKAF which is placed at the Optical Conversion Point (TKO) is right at the customer's home (end user), namely Fiber To The Home (FTTH) network configuration. The technology used in Fiber To The Home (FTTH) networks is a Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) technology as a standard device in Fiber To The Home (FTTH) networks. Griya Satria Bantarsoka Residence Purwokerto was chosen as the object of research because at this location it was necessary to increase bandwidth capacity by paying attention to the good network access feasibility parameters such as Power Link Budget, Rise Time Budget, Power Transmission, Power Receive (Pr), the amount of traffic needed, and Bit Error Rate (BER) analysis.
