Skripsi ini berjudul “Analisis Tematik Novel Akar Karya Dewi Lestari”. tujuan pnelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan struktur novel yang berkaitan dengan penelitian meliputi alur, latar, dan tokoh penokohan dan mendeskripsikan tema religiusitas yang terkandung dalam novel Akar karya Dewi Lestari.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah novel Akar karya Dewi Lestari. Fokus penelitian ini yaitu mengidentifikasi tema religiusitas. Data diperoleh melalui membaca, mencatat, dan mengklasifikasi.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa novel Akar karya Dewi Lestari terdapat dua macam tema yaitu tema utama dan tema tambahan. Tema utama dari novel tersebut yaitu tema religiusitas yang ditunjukan oleh tokoh sentral dan tokoh tambahan (Bodhi dan Kell). Tema tambahan yang terdapat dalam novel tersebut juga mendukung tema utama, salah satunya yaitu immortalitas. Tema merangkum elemen-elemen yang lain di antaranya alur, latar, dan tokoh dan penokohan. Maka dari itu tema mempunyai hubungan kausalitas dengan beberapa elemen tersebut.

This research is entitled "Analisis Tematik Novel Akar karya Dee Lestari" the purpose of this study is to describe the structure of the novel relate to research including plot, background and characterization and describe the theme of religiosity contained in Novel Akar by Dee Lestari
This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis research method. The data source in this study is Novel Akar by Dee Lestari. The focus of this study is to identify the theme of religiosity. Data is obtained through reading, recording and classifying.
The results of this study is indicate that the Akar novel by Dewi Lestari has two kinds of themes, namely the main theme and proponent themes. The main theme of the novel is the theme of religiosity shown by central figures and second character (Bodhi and Kell). Proponent themes contained in the novel also support the main theme, one of which is immortality. The theme summarizes the other elements including storyline, background and character and characterization. Then the theme has a causality relationship with some of these elements.
