Penelitian ini berjudul “Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kesempatan Kerja di Provinsi Banten”. Jenis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam bentuk data panel yaitu gabungan data time series pada tahun 2011-2015 dan data cross section pada 8 kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Banten. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh produk domestik regional bruto, tingkat pendidikan, upah minimum, pertumbuhan penduduk dan jumlah perusahaan terhadap kesempatan kerja di Provinsi Banten.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat lima variabel secara bersama sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesempatan kerja di Provinsi Banten. Variabel yang berpengaruh adalah produk domestik regional bruto, tingkat pendidikan, upah minimum, pertumbuhan penduduk dan jumlah perusahaan. Secara parsial, hanya terdapat satu  variabel yang tidak berpengaruh  signifikan terhadap kesempatan kerja di Provinsi Banten yaitu tingkat pendidikan. Sedangkan variable produk domestik regional bruto dan jumlah perusahaan  berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kesempatan kerja di Provinsi Banten. Variabel upah minimum dan pertumbuhan penduduk berpengaruh positif dan signifikan. Sementara variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kesempatan kerja di Provinsi Banten adalah variabel upah minimum. 
Implikasi dari kesimpulan diatas yaitu untuk meningkatkan produk domestik regional bruto, pemerintah Provinsi Banten perlu mengembangkan sektor padat karya. Pada upah minimum perlu adanya penetapan upah minimum yang sesuai pada berbagai sector untuk meningkatkan kesempatan kerja di Provinsi Banten.Untuk pertumbuhan penduduk dalam meningkatkan kesempatan kerja perlu adanya peningkatan kesehatan kualitas tenaga kerja sehingga ketika sudah memasuki usia angkatan kerja dapat mendapatkan pekerjaan di Provinsi Banten. Untuk jumlah perusahaan dalam menigkatkan kesempatan kerja, perlu adanya pembatasan jumlah perusahaan di sektor indutri dan memperluas jumlah perusahaan di sektor lain, agar angkatan kerja banten mendapatkan pekerjaan.

This research is entitled "Factors Affecting Employment Opportunities in Province of Banten”. The data type of this research is secondary data in the form of panel data which  is a combination of time series data of the years 2011-2015 and cross section data of 8 regencies or cities in Banten Province. The purpose of this reseach is to analyze the influence of gross regional domestic product, education level, minimum wage, population growth and number of companies on employment opportunities in Province of Banten.
Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that there are five variables simultaneously have a significant effect on employment opportunities in Banten Province. The variables that influence are gross regional domestic product, education level, minimum wage, population growth and number of companies. Partially, there is only one variable that does not have a significant effect on employment opportunities in Banten Province, namely education level. While the variables of gross regional domestic product and the number of companies have a negative and significant effect on employment opportunities in Banten Province. The variables of minimum wage and population growth have a positive and significant effect. While the most influential variable on employment opportunities in Banten Province is the minimum wage variable.
The implication of the above conclusion is that to increase gross regional domestic product, the Banten provincial government needs to develop labor-intensive sectors. At the minimum wage, it is necessary to establish appropriate minimum wages in various sectors to increase employment opportunities in Banten Province. For population growth in increasing employment opportunities there is a need to improve the quality of labor force health so that when entering the age of the labor force can find employment in Banten Province. For the number of companies in increasing employment opportunities, there is a need to limit the number of companies in the industrial sector and expand the number of companies in other sectors, so that the labor force can get jobs.
