RINGKASAN
Cahyani, 2019. Peningkatan Keterampilan Menulis Teks Berita Menggunakan Model Kooperatif  Tipe Group Investigation pada Siswa Kelas VIII A SMP N 2 Kedungbanteng.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan dan perubahan perilaku belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita pada siswa kelas VIII A SMP dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 2 Kedungbanteng dengan jumlah 33 siswa. Penelitian difokuskan pada peningkatan  keterampilan menulis teks berita dan perubahan perilaku belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation.
Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus  yang pada setiap siklusnya terdapat empat komponen, yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan terdiri atas teknik pengumpulan data tes dan teknik pengumpulan data nontes. Teknik  pengumpulan data tes berupa hasil menulis teks berita siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data nontes berupa teknik observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi foto.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan, yaitu kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif.
 Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks berita dan perubahan perilaku belajar siswa, yaitu siswa menjadi lebih aktif selama kegiatan belajar mengajar, siswa lebih percaya diri ketika mengutarakan pendapat, siswa lebih focus saat guru memberikan materi, dan siswa lebih antusias ketika diberi tugas untuk menulis teks  berita  dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation. Peningkatan dapat dilihat dari perolehan nilai menulis teks berita siswa pada tahap siklus I dan siklus II.  Pada siklus I perolehan nilai rata-rata, yaitu 71,81 dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II  yaitu sebesar 83,78. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri  2 Kedungbanteng.

SUMMARY

This research aims to describe the improvement and the alteration of the students’ learning behavior in writing news text of 8th grade students by using cooperative learning model group investigation type. This research belongs to classroom action research (CAR). The research objects are the 33 students of grade 8 A SMP Negeri 2 Kedungbanteng. This research focuses on the improvement of the writing news text skill and the alteration of the students’ learning behavior by using cooperative learning model group investigation type. 
This research was conducted in two cycles with four components in each cycle. Those are plan, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques used consist of data collection techniques test and data collection techniques nontes. Data collection techniques the tes results in the form of writing news text students. Data collection techniques nontes specialized techniques of observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation photos. The techniques of analyzing the data is quantitative and descriptive qualitative. 
The research result shows the improvement of writing news text skill and the alteration of the students’ learning behavior; the students are more active during the teaching and learning process, more confident to convey their opinions, more focus when the teacher delivering the material, and more enthusiastic when they were asked to write news text by using cooperative learning model group investigation type.  The improvement of students writing skill can be seen through the written test score of the first and second cycles. The mean score of the first cycle was 71,81 and has been increased in the second cycle, 83,78.  From those statements, it can be concluded that cooperative learning method group investigation type can improved written skill of grade 8 A students in SMP Negeri 2 Kedungbanteng in writing news text.
