Penelitian berjudul “Studi Kasus Tingkat Infeksi Cestodiasis pada Ayam Kampung (Gallus gallus domesticus) pada Periode Umur yang Berbeda di Kecamatan Baturaden, Kabupaten Banyumas” Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui genus cacing (cestoda), tingkat cestodiasis, serta perbedaan tingkat cestodiasis pada ayam kampung (Gallus gallus domesticus) pada umur starter, grower, dan layer. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 3 Desember sampai 25 Desember 2018. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah feses ayam kampung (Gallus gallus domesticus) yang di ambil dari periode umur starter 33 ekor, grower 33 ekor, dan layer 34 ekor. Tempat pengambilan sampel yaitu Kecamatan Baturaden, Kabupaten Banyumas dan tempat pemeriksaan sampel di Laboratorium Kesehatan Ternak Tipe B Purwokerto. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dan pemeriksaan laboratorium dengan cara metode Mc Master untuk mengetahui genus cacing cestoda yang diamati berdasarkan morfologi bentuk telur cacing. Hasil penelitian dari total 100 sampel feses ayam kampung (Gallus gallus domesticus) di Kecamatan Baturden, ditemukan 1 genus cacing cestoda yaitu Railletina sp dengan tingkat infeksi cestodiasis pada umur starter (3.00%), grower (15.10%), layer (23.50%), dan tingkat infeksi keseluruhan yaitu (14.00%) dari hasil tersebut tingkat infeksi cestodiasis masih tergolong ringan. Hasil analisis Chi square menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara periode umur dengan tingkat cestodiasis pada ayam kampung (Gallus gallus domesticus).

The reaserch was "Case Study of Cestodiasis Infection Level in Chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) in Different Age Periods in Baturaden Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency" The purpose of this reaserch was to determine the genus of worms (cestoda), cestodiasis level, and differences in cestodiasis levels in native chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) at the age of the starter, grower, and layer. The research was conducted on December 3 to December 25, 2018. The samples used in this study were free-range chicken faeces (Gallus gallus domesticus) taken from the 33 year starter, 33 grower, and 34 layer. The sampling location is Baturaden Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency and sample examinated at the Type B Animal Health Laboratory in Purwokerto. This research method uses a survey method and laboratory examination using the Mc Master method to determine the cestoda worm genus which was observed based on the morphology of the worm egg shape. The results of a total of 100 samples of chicken feces (Gallus gallus domesticus) in Baturden Subdistrict, found 1 genus of worm cestoda namely Railletina sp with cestodiasis level at the starter age (3.00%), grower (15.10%), layer (23.50%), and the overall infection rate (14.00%) of the results of the cestodiasis level is still relatively mild. Chi square analysis results showed that there was a significant difference between the age period and the cestodiasis level in native chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus).
