Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan macam media tanam untuk tanaman kailan pada sistem hidroponik (2) mengkaji pengaruh macam formula nutrisi terhadap pengaruh pertumbuhan dan serapan unsur P untuk tanaman kailan pada sistem hidroponik (3) menganalisis pengaruh interaksi macam media dan formula nutrisi terhadap pengaruh pertumbuhan dan serapan unsur P untuk tanaman kailan pada sistem hidroponik. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Screen house, Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura serta Laboratorium Tanah Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jendral Soedirman pada bulan Juli sampai Oktober 2018. Penelitian ini menggunkan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dengan perlakuan yang terdiri atas dua faktor, yaitu media tanam rockwool dan rockwool + zeolit; serta komposisi nutrisi dengan lima taraf nitrogen: AB mix (kontrol 22,5%) ; 40%; 32,5%; 17,5%; 10,5% N. Variabel yang diamati yaitu: bobot akar segar, bobot tanaman segar, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, diameter batang dan Serapan P. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji F (ANOVA) pada taraf 5%, apabila memberikan pengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan DMRT 5%.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan: (1) Macam media tanam berpengaruh nyata pada variabel tinggi tanaman, luas daun, diameter batang, jumlah daun dan media tanam terbaik ialah rockwool + zeolit, (2) komposisi nutrisi memberiknan pengaruh nyata pada semua variabel dan perlakuan terbaik ialah AB mix(kontrol N 22,5%), (3) kombinasi macam media tanam dan komposisi nutrisi berpengaruh nyata pada bobot tanaman segar, diameter batang dan serapan P. Perlakuan terbaik ialah kombinasi media rockwool + zeolit dan nutrisi AB mix.

PENDAHULUAN

This research was carried out in the Screen house, Agronomy and Horticulture Laboratory and Soil Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, General Sudirman University in July to October 2018. This study used a Complete Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with treatments consisting of two factors, namely rockwool planting media and rockwool + zeolite; and nutrient composition with five levels of nitrogen: AB mix (control 22.5%); 40%; 32.5%; 17.5%; 10,5% N. Variables observed were: fresh root weight, fresh plant weight, plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, stem diameter and absorption of P. Data were analyzed using the F test (ANOVA) at the level of 5%, and then significant continued with 5% DMRT. The results of the study showed: (1) The plant media had a significant effect on variables of plant height, leaf area, stem diameter and number of leaves and the best growing media was rockwool + zeolite, (2) nutrient composition gave a significant effect on all variables and the best treatment was AB mix (control N 22.5%), (3) the combination types betweenplanting media and nutrient composition significa
