PENGARUH PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR RUMEN SAPI DAN VARIETAS PADI TERHADAP EMISI GAS METANA PADA TANAH SAWAH

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk organik cair rumen sapi terhadap emisi gas metana pada beberapa varietas tanaman padi sawah, mengetahui pengaruh varietas tanaman padi sawah terhadap emisi gas metana dan mengetahui interaksi antara pupuk organik cair rumen sapi dan varietas tanaman padi sawah terhadap emisi gas metana. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2017 - Mei 2018 menggunakan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk, yaitu 100% pupuk kimia + 0% POC rumen sapi (D0), 75% pupuk kimia + 25% POC rumen sapi (D2), 50% pupuk kimia + 50% POC rumen sapi (D2). Faktor kedua adalah varietas, yaitu Ciherang (V0), Mentik Susu (V1), dan Hipa 18 (V2). Variabel yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, jumlah anakan produktif, jumlah anakan tidak produktif, panjang malai, jumlah gabah (isi dan hampa) per malai, jumlah gabah isi per rumpun, persentase gabah isi per rumpun, bobot 1000 butir, gabah kering giling, potensi hasil, potensial redoks, pH tanah, gas metana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengurangan dosis pupuk kimia yang dikombinasikan dengan POC rumen sapi mampu mereduksi emisi gas metana. Penggunaan varietas Ciherang dan Hipa 18 berpotensi menghasilkan emisi gas metana rendah dengan hasil tinggi. Tidak ditemukan interaksi antara dosis pupuk dengan varietas tanaman padi. The purposes of this research were to determine effect of fermented cow rumen dosage on methane emissions on several rice varieties, determine the effect of rice varieties on methane emissions and determine the interaction between fermented cow rumen and rice varieties to methane emissions. Research was conducted in October 2017 - May 2018 with two factors. The first factor was the doses of fertilizer, which were 100% chemical fertilizer + 0% of fermented cow rumen (D0), 75% chemical fertilizer + 25% of fermented cow rumen (D2), 50% chemical fertilizer + 50% of fermented cow rumen (D2). The second factor was varieties, which were Ciherang (V0), Mentik Susu (V1), and Hipa 18 (V2). Measured variables were plant height, number of tillers, number of productive tillers, number of unproductive tillers, panicle length, number of grain (filled and empty) per panicle, number of filled spikelets per clump, percentage of filled spikelets per clump, weight of 1000 grains, yields, yield potential, soil redox potential, soil pH, methane gas. The results of the study showed that the reduced dosage of chemical fertilizers in combination with fermented cow rumen was able to reduce methane gas emissions. The use of Ciherang and Hipa 18 varieties has the potential to produce low methane emissions with high yields. There was no interaction between doses of fertilizer and rice varieties.
