PENGARUH LINGKUNGAN SOSIAL, POTENSI DIRI, DAN PENDAPATAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP MINAT SISWA MELANJUTKAN STUDI KE PERGURUAN TINGGI (Studi Pada Siswa Kelas XII Akuntansi SMK Negeri 1 Purwokerto)

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis: (1) pengaruh lingkungan sosial terhadap minat siswa melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi; (2) pengaruh potensi diri terhadap minat melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi; (3) pengaruh pendapatan orang tua terhadap minat siswa melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XII Akuntansi di SMK Negeri 1 Purwokerto. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini menggunakan seluruh populasi (sampel jenuh) yang berjumlah 91 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda menunjukkan bahwa: (1) lingkungan sosial berpengaruh positif terhadap minat siswa melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi; (2) potensi diri berpengaruh positif terhadap minat siswa melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi; (3) pendapatan orang tua berpengaruh positif terhadap minat siswa melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi. Implikasi dari kesimpulan diatas yaitu untuk meningkatkan minat siswa melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi pihak sekolah perlu memberikan dukungan dengan cara memotivasi siswa serta pemberian informasi-informasi terkait perguruan tinggi serta siswa perlu senantiasa mempersiapkan diri apabila memiliki minat untuk melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi dengan cara selalu mengembangkan potensi dirinya dan orang tua perlu memberikan dukungan sepenuhnya terhadap anak-anaknya untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi.

The aims of research is to analyze: (1) the influence of social environment toward students interest in continuing their studies to college; (2) the influence of self-potential toward students interest in continuing their studies to college; (3) the influence of parents income toward students interest in continuing their studies to college. The research populations are all students of class XII Accounting SMK Negeri 1 Purwokerto which amounted to 91 students and all put as respondents. Based on result and data analysis using multiple linear regression it has got the conclusions: (1) there is positive influence of social environment toward students interest in continuing their studies to; (2) there is positive influence of self-potential toward students interest in continuing their studies to college; (3) there is positive influence of parents income toward students interest in continuing their studies to college. As implication of the conclusions above, in order to increase the students’ interest in continuing their studies to college, the school needs to provide support by motivating students and providing information related to universities. For students, students need to always prepare themselves if they have the interest to continue their studies to college by always developing their potential. For parents, they need to provide full support to the child for continuing to college.
