APLIKASI TIGA ISOLAT Bacillus subtilis B209, B211, DAN B298 UNTUK PENGENDALIAN PENYAKIT UTAMA DAN PENINGKATAN PERTUMBUHAN CABAI MERAH

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tiga isolat B. subtilis terhadap pertumbuhan dan efektifitas penekanan tiga penyakit utama cabai merah diantaranya antraknosa, bercak daun, dan virus kuning. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan pertanaman cabai merah Desa Karangturi, Kecamatan Mrebet, Kabupaten Purbalingga dan Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman pada bulan Juni 2017 sampai Agustus 2017. Rancangan yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAKL) dengan 4 perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak 6 kali. Perlakuan tersebut terdiri atas Kontrol, B. subtilis isolat B209, B. subtlis isolat B211, dan B. subtilis isolat B298. Variabel yang diamati yaitu intensitas penyakit, masa inkubasi, laju infeksi dan pertumbuhan tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiga isolat B. subtilis mampu menekan kejadian penyakit antraknosa dan bercak daun berturut-turut sebesar 61,89% dan 12,01%, tetapi belum mampu menekan kejadian penyakit virus kuning. Aplikasi tiga isolat B. subtilis mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan cabai merah pada variabel tinggi tanaman, jumlah ranting dan jumlah daun secara berturut-turut sebesar 20,56%, 33,70%, dan 52,09%.

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of three B. subtilis isolates to plant growth and suppression on three major diseases of chili such as anthracnose, leaf spot, and yellow leaf curl virus. The research was conducted in chili cultivation area of Karangturi Village, Mrebet sub-district, Purbalingga District and the Laboratory of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University from June 2017 until August 2017. Randomized complete block design was used 4 treatments with 6 replications. The treatments were Control, B. subtilis B209 isolates, B. subtilis B211 isolates, and B. subtilis B298 isolates. Variables observed were disease intensity, incubation period, rate of infection, and plant growth. Result of the research showed that three isolates of B. subtilis was able to suppress the anthracnose and leaf spot disease by 61,89% and 12,01% respectively, but has not been able to suppress the yellow leaf curl virus disease that has occured. The three isolates application of B. subtilis was able to increased the growth of chili on plant height, number of branches and number of leaves 20,56%, 33,70% and 52,09%, respectively.
