PENYALUTAN BENIH DENGAN METABOLIT SEKUNDER Trichoderma harzianum UNTUK MENEKAN PENYAKIT DISEBABKAN VIRUS PADA TANAMAN CABAI

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengkaji potensi metabolit sekunder T. harzianum isolat jahe terhadap penyakit disebabkan virus dan pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman cabai melalui penyalutan benih. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman dan Lahan Percobaan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman mulai bulan Januari sampai April 2018. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non-faktorial dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas kontrol (perendaman dalam air steril selama 15 menit), perendaman dalam metabolit sekunder T. harzianum isolat jahe selama 30, 60, dan 90 menit. Variabel yang diamati meliputi masa inkubasi, kejadian penyakit, intensitas penyakit, Area Under Progress Curve (AUDPC), analisis senyawa fenol (saponin, tanin, dan glikosida) secara kualitatif, daya kecambah, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bobot tanaman segar, dan bobot akar segar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan perendaman benih cabai dalam metabolit sekunder T. harzianum isolat jahe selama 90 menit mampu menekan masa inkubasi sebesar 23,04 %, menurunkan kejadian penyakit sebesar 37,97 %, dan menekan intensitas penyakit sebesar 44,63 %. Perlakuan perendaman benih cabai dalam metabolit sekunder T. harzianum isolat jahe selama 30 menit mampu menurunkan nilai AUDPC sebesar 35,9 %. Perlakuan perendaman benih cabai dalam metabolit sekunder T. harzianum isolat jahe selama 30, 60, dan 90 menit belum mampu meningkatkan komponen pertumbuhan tanaman kecuali tinggi tanaman.

This research aims to study the potential of secondary metabolites of T. harzianum ginger isolates against viral diseases and their effects on the growth of pepper plants by seed coating. The research was conducted at the Plant Protection Laboratory and Experimental Field, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University from January to April 2018. The research used non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatment consisted of control (immersion in sterile water for 15 minutes), immersion in secondary metabolite of T. harzianum ginger isolate for 30, 60, and 90 minutes. The variables observed were incubation period, disease incidence, disease intensity, Area Under Progress Curve (AUDPC), qualitative analysis of phenol compounds (saponins, tannins, and glycosides), seed germination rate, crop height, leaf numbers, crop fresh weight and root fresh weight. Result showed that chili seeds immersion in secondary metabolite T. harzianum ginger isolate for 90 minutes was able to suppress the incubation period 23.04%, incidence of disease 37.97%, and disease intensity 44.63%. The treatment of chili seed immersion in secondary metabolite of T. harzianum ginger isolate for 30 minutes was able to decrease the value of AUDPC 35,9%. The treatment of chili seed immersion in secondary metabolite of T. harzianum of ginger isolate for 30, 60, and 90 minutes has not been able to increase component of growth except crop height.
